INTRODUCTIONBASIC stands for "Beginners All-purpose symbolic Instruction Code" was first invented by professor J.G Komeny and T.E.Kurty of Dartmouth College, New Hampshire, U.S.A as a language for beginners. It was implemented in 1964. Since then BASIC has under gone many modification's and improvements and now many versions of BASIC are available. using the BASIC language almost all types of Programmers can be developed. it is an extremely powerful and useful language the BASIC language was designed to Conversational right from the start. This can put the Programmer or user can enter her programmer statements directly into the computer memory and any errors in the statements will be immediately displayed. Thus the user can correct his/her mistakes immediately. In BASIC different translators like GWBASIC, BAISC, QBASIC, CBASIC etc. are available.

PREFACE

As a part of our Madhyamik Examination with Computer Application as an

additional subject we have to undergo project work. No doubt Practical knowledge

is very difference between theory and Practical field. At the beginning of our

project i was in great confusion for the reason that what should i do in the Project

that would be fruitful to me. it is because the Computer Application is such a

branch where new things and new ideas are coming out everyday. So when our

respected teacher asked me to do a project on "student Information System" I took

no time to decide. It Seemed very interesting to me.
