The Paul Smith's College Wrestling Team traveled
to McGill University December 5 to participate in
the "Athletic Night" of the Canadian University.
Here they defeated McGill 26 to 8. On January 9 the
Bobcats downed Queen's College 30 to 3 at Queen's.
The first home match was held here on January 13
against Oneonta State Teachers’ College. The score
was Paul Smith s 28 and Oneonta 10. The next match
was also with Oneonta at their college and incident
ally, the score turned out to be the same, 28 to 10,
in our favor.
February II we tied Alfred 16 to 16 in a match
held in Saranac Lake in Connection with the Saranac
Lake Winter Carnival. On the 19 PSC took their
sixth win when they defeated Rensselaer Polytechnic
Institute 20 to 15 in our gym. The first and only
loss of the season occurred with Union College the
next night by a score of 20 to 6. Part of this was due
to the loss of two wrestlers who left school at the
end of first semester. Two matches, one with Queen's
College, were forfeited meets, thus making eight wins
and one loss for a very successful season.
March 4 and 5 the wrestlers took part in the First
National Junior College Tournament held at Farm-
ingdale. March 11 Barry Durham attended the I.I.I.I.
Tournament at Case Tech in Cleveland, Ohio.
Since five of this year’s wrestlers were freshmen,
good prospects are in sight for next year.
