ORIGIN STORY The true signposts of a sacred quest may only be connected in hindsight ... as timeless images and stories emerge, revealing themselves, discovery by discovery, as eternal, self-similar patterns, woven through space and time. Perhaps that is why, on a quest, the way forward may be navigated only by faith. So when and why does a life quest begin? I believe each of us reaches a turning point in life - a crossroads of choice, when the day comes, as the writer Anais Nin so beautifully describes it, "when the risk to remain tight in a bud is more painful than the risk it takes to blossom.” That moment we realize that what has come before, no matter how comfortable it may be, can no longer serve our highest self, and that, in order to expand into our highest potential, we must consciously choose the path of WHAT CAN BE ... the quest of discovery begins. For me, after success as a senior executive in international advertising/PR firms, and as a rising star in a Global 50 tech company, I had what looked like success on the outside …but on the inside, my authentic self – my soul - was struggling. You see, for me, the higher I rose in the corporate world, the less my values aligned. It seemed that everywhere around me I saw corporate turf wars, people undercutting one another and valuing competition over co-creation - when my values and gifts were the exact opposite – creativity, innovation and collaboration. Though I tried to ignore it, what emerged within me was a sinking realization this “success” was an illusion - and, for me, a trap. I was stuck in a loop – and I didn’t know how to get out. I just knew I was not living my highest and best life … and I was not sharing my greatest gifts. And then ... you know how there are moments in life – where everything changes? They wake you up, and you never see things the same again. Here I was, already questioning my path – and my beloved Mother got cancer – and passed away at only 48 years old. So, for me, perhaps a bit younger than most - I came face-to-face with the reality that we only have such a brief time to make the impact we’re here to make. I remember sitting in my stark office cubicle, knowing that I simply could no longer go on as I had been. I had to know that I was living out my highest life purpose ... that I was making the impact I was born to make. So I took the leap. I left my corporate job - without a real plan (even though my expertise was strategic planning). That turning-point decision - and my deep desire to live out my own true purpose, launched me on my quest to discover - not only my own life purpose - but ultimately, something much more eternal, universal and transcendent.



GENESIS OF GENIUS I started a deep questioning process. And the first thing I discovered is that I wasn't alone. Whenever I talked to my friends or my family about what I was going through, they were all saying, "Yeah, you know, I feel like that, too ... but there's nothing I can do about it ... that's just the way life is - you've got to make a living and have a job." Everyone around me was in the same spot - they were all struggling, saying, "This is WHAT IS" - but somehow not yet consciously able to create WHAT CAN BE. They either believed it was not possible - or they didn't know how to do it for themselves. I was afraid, too. But I believed there had to be a way. My belief was that there was something beautiful and divine about life - and I deeply desired to discover and be in tune with that truth, more than anything else. I set out to find that truth. I began my quest, digging through hundreds of books across all realms of thought, and over all of human time. With each page I turned, and with each piece of truth I gathered, I started to see the patterns emerge. In my quest to figure out what I was here to do, I tuned in deeply to my own Highest Source, and was guided on, what was for me, a sacred journey - one that led me back to the origins of all creation, all the way back to the earliest known sacred writings of humankind, back to the Genesis of Genius itself. And again, I realized I was not alone. I realized I, too, was seeking the answer to the fundamental question that humans have been grappling with since the dawn of time, and I realized there was a pattern to the solutions . It became clear that the greatest human desire is for meaning, to understand our place in the world ... to make our mark - and to leave a legacy. When you page through history, though we humans are born with nothing, you can't help but marvel at all we've created, from the cave paintings of Chauvet to the Hubble telescope. At our core, there is a desire to create. And that desire for expression has sparked all of the creation that has ever emerged, whether in the form of a scientific breakthrough or discovery, or of dimensional perspective in drawing or painting, or of a meal crafted by Julia Child or Rachel Ray. As a seeker, I was both humbled and in awe, as I was guided all the way back to the earliest known sacred writings of humankind - the Vedas - ancient poetry in Sanskrit, the language from which all our languages come. As you'll discover in GENESIS OF GENIUS, the Vedas are all about the master creative process ... the sacredness of it, the power of it, and the truth that we are all born creators.

ON THE QUEST Starting with those earliest sacred writings, I began tracing the universal principles, patterns and archetypes of creation, through philosophy, theology (all major faiths and belief systems), art, myth and literature - and forward from traditional science to quantum physics and systems theory. What I discovered on this journey astonished me. The truth is, throughout time, all visionaries, sages and thought leaders have used a pattern of thought - an archetype of creation - to think dramatically differently from everyone else. In fact, these visionaries begin with an entirely different WorldView that enables them to see beyond WHAT IS … to WHAT CAN BE. The good news is that we can adopt the same WorldView - literally a different thinking system that all world-changers throughout time have used - a profound and practical - and profoundly different - sequence of thought for the 21st Century. Not only can we adopt this creative sequence of thought - it is now required for those who will succeed going forward in this globally connected world. The patterns I'll share with you here have been the key for everyone who has ever broken out of the reality of WHAT IS into the fullness of WHAT CAN BE - what they were born to do. From ancient creators from Plato to Leonardo Da Vinci, on to modern-day models like Oprah and Steve Jobs - they were all operating from one universal principle, one Conscious Shift in Worldview, that enabled them to not only imagine the next level of success, but to walk step by step into it.
