1.1. MATERIALSCable Trays shall be made of CRCA ASTM A 36 or equiv-alent or Pre-Galvanized Steel Sheet (ASTM A 653).

1.2. WELDINGAl-Shamali & Waris Cable Trays are welded by MIG (Metal Inert Gas) or TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) weldingprocess for producing smooth, clean, slag-free weldents.

1.3. FINISHESAl-Shamali & Waris supplies Cable Trays in following 3 different finishes :1. Pre-galvanized finish: As per ASTM A 653, usually pre-galvanized sheets are used for manufacturing of Cable Trays.2. Hot-Dip galvanized finish: Cable Trays fabricated from CRCA ASTM A 36 or equivalent are Hot-Dip galvanizedafter fabrication in accordance with BS EN ISO 1461.3. Powder Coat finish: Cable Trays fabricated from CRCA ASTM A 36 or equivalent are powder coated after fabrica-tion as per clients’ specifications.

2. DIMENSIONSA. Ladder – Type Trays1. Lengths of straight sections are usually in 2.44 Mtr or3.0 Mtr.2. Widths:- 75 - 1000 mm plus or minus 6.0mm inside dimension.3. Depths:- Outside depths shall be 70, 100, 120, 150 and200mm plus or minus 3.0mm.4. Rung Spacing on Straight Section 200 to 300mm on centers.5. Radius: - 300, 450, 600 and 900mm.Degree of Arc for Bends: - 30, 45, 60 and 90 degrees.

B. Cable Tray - Perforated Type.1. Lengths of Straight Sections are usually 2.44 Mtr. or 3.0Mtr.2. Widths:- 50 - 1000 mm plus or minus 6.0mm inside

dimension.3. Depths:- Outside depths shall be 25, 50, 75, 80, 100, 25,150 and 200mm plus or minus 3.0mm.4. Radius:- 300, 450 and 600mm.5. Degree of Arc for Bends: - 30, 45, 60 and 90 degrees.Bottom- The bottom is punched (Perforated Type).

C. Cable Tray - Solid Bottom Type.1. Lengths of straight sections: - 2.44 Mtr or 3.0 Mtr plus orminus 3.0mm.2. Widths:- 50 - 1000mm plus or minus 6.0mm inside dimension.3. Depths:- Outside depths shall be 25, 50, 80, 100, 125, 150 and 200mm plus or minus 3.0mm.4. Radius:- 300, 450,600 and 900mm .5. Degree of Arc for Bends:- 30, 45, 60 and 90 degrees.6. The bottom is solid type.

3. PROTECTION FOR CABLESThe inside of cable tray systems have smooth surface withoutany sharp edges, burrs or projections which may cause damageto cables during installation.

4. FITTINGSThe design and construction for all types of Cable Tray Fittingsis based on supporting to cable trays as recommended in CableTray Standard VE 1-5.05.

APPLICABLE CODES AND STANDARDSAll equipment, material and workmanship shall comply with therequirements and latest revisions of thefollowing standards and codes whichever is applicable,BSI - British Standards Institute.NEMA - National Electrical Manufacturers Association.ASTM - American Society for Testing and Materials.

Fast assembly cable tray are available in light and heavy duty variants. Standard sections ex-stock and non-standard or spe-cial forms on Quick turnaround. A full range of bends, tees and accessories Including lids, dividers, supports and clips avail-able. Thickness of material between 1.0 mm to 2.0 mm. Standard height for light duty cable tray is 25 mm and for heavy duty cable tray is 50 mm which can be changed as per customer requirements.
