RESUME CRITIQUES & MOCK INTERVIEWS
• Our staff is available to meet with students on an individual basis.• We do accept walk-ins, but calling ahead and making an appointment guarantees you a spot.• Director Dr. Robbie Cordle and a Graduate Assistant are each available on a daily basis. • Students should prepare a rough draft copy of a resume or cover letter to be critiqued. • For help preparing a draft, please visit the office to pick up sample resumes and cover letters, as well as to review materials in the resource library. • Mock interviews should be scheduled in advance. A description of the “job” the student is interviewing for should be provided in advance so that career staff can prepare appropriate, targeted questions.

CREDENTIAL FILES• Credential files are created by FSU students and contain a resume, cover letter, transcripts, letters of recommendations and other pertinent information. • The files are used for internships, graduate school applications, and job searches. • Our office manages the files and mails them to prospective employers and graduate schools upon request from the student. • Requests for release of information within a credential file can be made in person, by letter or via phone. Students pay a one-time activation fee of $20.00 to the FSU Business Office in order to activate credential file for 7 years. • A student can make an unlimited number of requests per month within the 7 year time period, but the file MUST NOT exceed 20 pages.• A student either retains or waives right to see letters of recommendation.

CAREER FAIRS & ON CAMPUS RECRUITMENT
• Career Expo: Typically held the Friday of Homecoming weekend. FSU alums return and speak about what they have done since they graduated, where they currently are, etc. This is a good chance for current students to connect with alums from their major.
• Career and Internship Fair: Typically held in April. Draws regional employers to the campus. Some on-the-spot interviews are held, and students also have the opportunity to network with employers. Bring lots of copies of your resume, and be dressed professionally.
• Education Job Fair: Typically held in April. Graduating Education majors have the opportunity to interview with numerous school systems.
• Virtual or Other Job Fairs: We will post to College Central Events either virtual job fairs or jobs fairs at other universities within a 4 hour radius.
•On-Campus Recruiters: We have recruiters visit campus at various times throughout the academic year. Emails will be sent out with information regrading time, date, location, and scheduling information.
