Safespear is an Aboriginal-owned business and our

When Safespear are used, the technicians are on ropes safely anchored

to a fixed point. Rather than working from the ground up, they work

from top to bottom. This means that there’s no interference for people

on the ground level, so it’s business as usual. Rope access is the more

cost-efficient way to handle maintenance because there is simply less

equipment and inconvenience, and this is reflected in the bottom line

of a quote. Instead, you save money and get a safer, higher quality

end result.

ROPE ACCESS

Safespear is able to undertake rope access work, utilising

technicians that are selected not only for their IRATA

qualification but also for their core skills in electrical,

NDT and maintenance trades. This strategy allows us to

provide high quality, cost efficient and safe services both

on the ground and in some of the most difficult to reach

areas of your facility.

OCTG - INSPECTION, CLEANING, MANAGEMENT AND STORAGE

Safespear specialises in inspection, maintenance, cleaning, inventory management

and storage of all OCTG components including drill pipe, tubing & casing, BHA and

all completions equipment. Our purpose built 4,000 sqm facility houses office, wash

bay, fixed head tubular cleaning machine, undercover inspection & paint racks and

2,000 sqm of storage.

When required, we can operate a 24/7 service to ensure all of our client’s service requirements are met and exceeded.

Our experienced OCTG inspectors are highly trained and qualified and

draw on their extensive knowledge and understanding of the offshore

and onshore drilling industry. This ensures inspection are conducted to

the highest possible standard.

Our inspection personnel and equipment are also available to mobilise

to remote sites and work as a self-contained team on board any drilling

unit / vessel or land-based site to ensure minimal disruption to day-to-

day operations.

CLIMATE CONTROL SERVICES

Our IECEx SafeCool air-conditioning units (ACU) are designed for use in explosive

atmospheres and have been developed specifically for hot climates and areas

with challenging working conditions where productivity can be low due to high

working temperatures.

When used in conjunction with

a SAFEHOUSE habitat system,

SafeCool increases personnel

productivity significantly mitigates

risks associated with heat stress

and fatigue.

Our units come complete with

integrated DNV certified lifting

frame and slings for offshore

lift and provide 22kW of

cooling capacity.

LIFTING AND RIGGING

As part of our ongoing drive to provide a one-stop-shop lifting and rigging offering, we

have partnered with Toll Group, one of Australia’s leading supply base operators.

Safespear and Toll Group operate a 65 Ton Holding Capacity spooling machine capable of spooling

25M Minute and powered by a 72Kw diesel powered HPU. This unique machine is fully adjustable and is

capable of maintaining constant tension between 2 Ton – 10 Ton.

This service, coupled with
