They also were taught the correct technique for brushing their teeth.

We need strong healthy teeth to chew the right food to grow, to speak clearly and look good when we smile!

This craft required the children to peel off the tape at the back of the square foam

and stick them onto the given letter.

And these involved using their fine motor and eye coordination skills to complete the task.

Fun & Movement

Mass Activity

Divided into 4 teams, the children run through a modified agility hoop chain

(ensuring that they step into every hoop),

pick up a ball and throw it over the folded table!


Increasing the difficulty of the drill, the children attempt a single leg hoop!


Love 1 & 2

A warm up

with a little run to the teacher at the end,

give a hi-5 on one hand,

run around,

give the other hand a hi-5,

and run back to the starting point.


Many instructions were given to the Love children…

1. Run to the end and take a bean bag

2. Run back and place the bean bag at the starting point

3. Run across to get the second bean bag

4. Pick up both bean bags and place them back at the end point


The children did really well and were able to follow the instructions! (some with a little more prompting)

Joy & Peace

To test and further develop the children’s ball manipulation skills,

the distance at which they throw and receive the ball was further increased.

A modified agility ladder was placed in between the 2 points.

After passing the ball, the child will then perform some agility drills to the other side.

The agility drills include:

running through the hoops;

hopping, jumping,

jumping alternate hoops using (both feet in the first hoop, then outside the second hoop)


They also learn to gauge the distance to estimate the strength that they need to pass the ball

and to receive the ball well.


Aesthetics (Cooking)

Just look at them – especially the little ones….

One hand holding the knife and the other holding firm the slice of apple to be cut ….

(ahem ! sometimes they dun hold their knife too correctly or cut to the correct number of pieces required,

But we understand … some of them are not even three years old as yet …. )

We learned many things:

✓ Fruit kebabs are pieces of cut fruits skewered on a stick

✓ To skewer means to put the pieces of fruit through the

stick; holding the pieces together

✓ The knife has two parts – the handle and the blade and we

hold it by the handle and the blade is for cutting

✓ We can eat our fruit kebabs with different sauces –

chocolate sauce, pancake sauces … yums !!!!
