Celebration hat goes on once a year in the streets of Trinidad. People come form all around the would to join in. They people dress up in

amazing costumes, and listen to wonderful music. They have fun, and celebrate the wonderful places they are from.

The food is very good in Trinidad and

Tobago. The eat lost of meat, rice, and

different kinds of bread.

Some favorites are roti’s, peas and rice, curry and different

kind of seafood's.

Trinidad and Tobago were a British colony until 1962

and are now an independent nation within the Commonwealth.

The red base represents the vigor of the land in Trinidad and Tobago, the friendliness and courage of its people, and the sun. The black represents the unity and strength of the people, as well as the natural wealth of the country. The white represents the surrounding sea and the purity and equality of all people under the sun. Together, the colors represent earth, water and fire, which connect the nation's people to the past present and future.

Trinidad is part of the two-island nation known as Trinidad & Tobago. Yet, although these two islands are linked in their government and geographical proximity, they are quite varied.
