The Ottawa's foodThe Ottawa traveled along the sides of

Michigan so they got fish and other seafood from the great lakes. They also traveled into Michigan to hunt deer and moose. Were they settled, women and young girls had to farm all day to get there corn, beans, and squash. They taped on trees for there sweet sap and ate tabako.

The Ottawa's clothingAs you know the Ottawa's hunted deer and

moose they used the skin and the furs for some of their clothing. Ottawa women wore long dresses in the summer time but in the winter they wore long robes made out of rabbit skin. For their head wear they wore leather headbands with a couple feathers on the back. For the men's clothing they wore long head dresses.

they made birch bark canoes. They used the canoes to catch sea food and travel on water witch was both some of there natural resources. They had lots of trees and killed animals for their skins and furs.

The Ottawa Weather and Climate

In the summer the weather was hot and humid, but very nice with a high of 91 degrees. In the winter it was very cold and snowy with a high of -40 degrees. In the spring and fall it was very cool with a high of 60 degrees.

How the Ottawa traveledAs you know one of the Ottawa's natural

resources is Birch bark canoes it is also one of the things they used to travel. Of course they walked because they did not have cars or anything that we had today. In the winter they made snow shoes to help them walk in snowy weather. There were lots of stray dogs so they made a sled and attached the dogs and they would pull them to wherever they wanted to go.
