This study found that weekly individual meetings with reclassified freshman showed an improvement in grades, attendance, and an overall reduction in discipline referrals.

Further research needs to be done to see if a small group would also be effective. Meeting individually on a weekly basis is time consuming.

Research should be done to determine if it would be just as effective to meet every other week to make individual meets less time consuming

Involve teachers and help encourage communication between students and teachers

Follow up meetings should occur throughout year
