Mobile phone made with surplus wood made from thinning operations to maintain healthy forests.
Developed by prestigious Japanese cell phone company: NTT DOCOMO.
Also developed by other major companies such as Olympus Corporation ,Sharp Corporation, and “more trees”.
It is only a green prototype at this moment.
The phone is made from cypress wood. It has a genuine graphical user interface
(GUI) designed by Japanese artist Mikiya Takimoto.
Designed with special three-dimensional compression molding developed by Olympus Corporation.
Touch Screen cell phone.
Touch wood features excellent durability and resistance to water, insects and mold.
Conventional natural wood is highly prone to wear and destroy.
Preserves appearance and scent. Innovative handsets Preserves the health of overgrown
Shimanto forest in Japan.
Prototype with full handset will be presented at ITU Telecom in Switzerland and CEATEC Japan this week!
