* Walruses live on ice. Walruses can slide away from predators on the ice. * The first thing a baby walrus needs to learn is to climb up onto the ice.

* The walrus male can weigh up to 800 to 1,700 kg. A female walrus can weigh up to 400 to 1,250 kg. Also another fact about walruses is they have two long teeth and two eyes. Also walruses can swim up to 22 mph and more.

* Walruses can make sounds that we humans cant make. Walruses are very fast, they can swim up to 20 to 30 mph. With all that fat thats very fast.

* A baby walrus is born on an iceberg. A baby walrus is mostly born in May and June. An adult walrus can stay alive for 20 years or more. A mother walrus can store milk in their fat parts to feed a baby walrus.

* Walruses live in the Arctic ocean, as well as sub Arctic regions. They would sleep in the North Pole. They can live in the coldest places in the world.

* A walrus eats twice a day, they can eat 3,000 to 6,000 clams a day ! A walrus would eat worms, gastropods, and sea cucumbers. They also eat squids, snails and octopuses and crabs.
