THE HOUSE
The Beginning As I carefully entered the house, the
door slammed shut behind me and my friends. Nobody knew the terror that
was awaiting us inside the house. It was just me (Maria), Suzie, Cathy,Annabelle, Tyler, and Matt. I jerked when a squeal
filled the house. “Who was that?!” I exclaimed. My friends exchanged
glances, shaking their heads. It wasn’t any of them. Who was it?
The Disappearing ActOur clothes dripping, we headed into the next room. It was very dark, so we used the walls as our guide. Out of nowhere, Annabelle released
a piercing shriek. “My hands!” she cried. “What’s wrong with your hands?” I questioned.
“They’re wet.. And reek of blood!” “What do you mean ‘reek of blood’?” Suzy whispered
nervously. “I..I don’t know” stuttered Anabelle. Our conversation was interrupted. “Where’s
Matt?” questioned Cathy. Nobody had noticed he had disappeared.
SilenceWe heard Matt call out for help, but
we couldn’t figure out where his voice was coming from. Then suddenly his
pleas for help ceased. It was dead silent in the house. Nobody spoke. We all knew something terrible had
happened to Matt. But what?
The Body We stumbled from room to room, looking for
Matt and calling his name until our voices became raw and hoarse. We had explored all of
the rooms in the house, except upstairs. We had just about given up, when suddenly a
hoarse moaning interrupted our thoughts. We heard a loud crashing noise. Tyler cried out in
pain. “I tripped!” he called. “Over what?” I exclaimed. Tyler was silent for a moment. Then
he slowly answered my question. “It was a body” he whispered. “It’s coming for you next”
rasped Matt. “MATT!?” I squealed.
DeathMatt had been found! He was bleeding
heavily through his jacket. He whispered “Go on without me!” And
shuttered his last breath.
Then there was 6 of us.
Danger Above The house started creaking out of nowhere, and the roof crashed to the floor. I was showered in bits and pieces of the ceiling. The last thing I remember were my friends calling out in pain as the dust showered us.
Alone I awoke to complete silence. I must have blacked out. I stood warily. I called for my friends but there was no answer. I searched around the rubble but everyone was gone. They had left me alone in the dark house. I had no way of getting out due to the collapsing of the roof. I didn’t have my cellphone with me either… I was trapped and alone…. And left to die.
