Performance

The Honda Odyssey is a roomy and efficient minivan with lots of power under the hood to help carry your whole family and all your cargo. It runs on a 3.5L V6 engine with Intelligent Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (i-VTEC). This design improves its production and lets it get up to 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque.Most trim levels pair this engine with a 9-Speed Automatic Transmission. The Honda Odyssey Touring and Honda Odyssey Elite trims add an extra gear with a standard 10-Speed Automatic Transmission. Both transmissions are fitted with paddle shifters, so you’ll have the freedom to change gears without a manual clutch.

Another benefit of the i-VTEC system is that it improves the engine’s efficiency. With the standard Eco Assist™ System, you’ll get great fuel economy. It gets an EPA-estimated 19 MPG city and 28 MPG1 highway.

Inside the Honda Odyssey, you’ll find a spacious interior with three rows of seats and comfortable room for up to eight people. With a total passenger volume of 163.6 cubic feet inside, passengers in all three rows will have plenty of space to stretch out.

For faster access to the back row, you can opt for a set of Magic Slide 2nd-Row Seats™. This swaps the middle bench out for two chairs that slide side to side, so you can make more space by the door or create a convenient aisle in the middle of your van.

The interior of the Honda Odyssey is also made to fit lots of cargo. Behind the back seats there’s 32.8 cubic feet of space in the trunk.

Making room for more cargo is easy with the one motion 60/40 split 3rd-row Magic Seats®. Just open the trunk, pull the handle on the back of the seats towards you, and they quickly collapse into the floor. With the back row down, you’ll now have up to 88.8 cubic feet of space.

The Magic Slide 2nd-Row Seats™ let you conveniently make room for even more by sliding them forward or removing them altogether. This gives you up to 144.9 cubic feetof cargo room behind the front seats.

The 2019 Honda Odyssey is built to keep you and your family safe. You’ll have peace of mind inside this solid van with a strong, scientifically engineered frame. Its design starts with an Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure that can absorb the force from a collision and direct it away from the seating areas.

This body sits on top of a drivetrain that’ll keep you in control in any conditions with both Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) with Traction Control and Intelligent Traction Management with Snow Mode. You can also count on an Anti-Lock Braking System and Electronic Brake Distribution to help you stop safely every time.

Inside the van, all three rows of seats will be protected by an advanced airbag system. There are eight standard airbags throughout the interior, including:

There’s even safety features built into your seatbelts. An automatic tensioning system can instantly tighten the driver and front passenger’s seatbelts during an accident. Both the second and third row seats can be fitted with Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH) to help securely strap in smaller passengers.

In addition to all the safety features built into the Honda Odyssey, it uses technology to help prevent accidents before they occur. With driver assistance features like the Honda Sensing® bundle, you’ll have more awareness of what’s around you during your drive.Up front, the Forward Collision Warning sensors will send you audio alerts if you get too close to another car or stationary object. The Collision Mitigation Braking System can even apply the brakes and stop your van if it detects an imminent collision.

Along the same lines, your van can slow down and stop for you on the highway too. The Adaptive Cruise Control system monitors the distance between you and the vehicle in front of you and can adjust your speed to maintain a safe distance or stop the van if traffic increases.

You’ll also have sensors watching out for your sides too. The Lane Keeping Assist System and Road Departure Mitigation System detect if you drift out of your lane and can even steer you back into place.

On the other hand, the Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Monitor lets you know when it’s safe to change lanes. When you flip your turn signal on, a light next to your side mirror will start flashing if there’s another car next to you.

There are also cameras in the Honda Odyssey to give you better visibility. Your van can even pick up incoming cars at night. With the Auto High-Beam Headlights, it’ll switch between high and low beams for you.

You can also see what’s behind you when you’re backing up. When you shift into reverse your dashboard monitor will give you a live look at what’s behind you through the Multi-Angle Rearview Camera. The picture features dynamic guidelines so you can see what’s in your way, and let’s you shift between three camera angles: normal, top-down, and wide.

Your dashboard monitor is also the home of your infotainment system. The Honda Odyssey is loaded with great technology to help you have a fun and convenient drive. You’ll have access to everything from music to navigation through an 8-inch high-resolution touch-screen.

The system keeps you on the right path with clear, colorful maps and the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™. It’s equipped with voice recognition, so putting in a destination is easy.

The voice recognition feature also allows you to stay connected without taking your hands off the wheel. You can make calls with the Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink® and send and receive messages with the SMS Text Message Function.

You and your passengers can also use Bluetooth® to sync your smartphones and enjoy your favorite music through Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. Plus, with CabinControl™, everyone can sync their phones at the same time and make a joint playlist.

Everyone can keep their phones charged, even during your longest road trips, thanks to a wireless phone charger and USB ports in the front and center consoles.

While you drive, passengers in the 2nd- and 3rd-rows can even enjoy their own entertainment. The available Advanced Rear Entertainment System features a 10.2-inch drop down screen with a Blu-ray™ player and apps for streaming your favorite movies.

An available built-in mobile hotspot lets you connect to Wi-Fi® and stream your favorite movies and music or check your emails and social media wherever you go.

The Honda Odyssey even has technology to help you check-in with your passengers. With the CabinWatch® Rear Seat Monitor, your dashboard screen will show you a close up, overhead view of your passengers, even at night.

Plus, if you need to get someone’s attention, you can use the CabinTalk™ in-car PA system. It lets you speak to your passengers by tapping into the rear speakers or any headphones that are synced to the Rear Entertainment System.

The Honda Odyssey helps improve your overall driving experience with useful features before, after, and during your drive. There’s easy access with two power sliding doors, while an available Hands-Free Power Tailgate lets you start loading without having to put your bags down to take your keys out.

Trim Levels

The Honda Odyssey is available in five different trims. The base trim is the Honda Odyssey LX. It features comfortable cloth seats and a standard Multi-Angle Rearview Camera.

The next trim level, the Odyssey EX provides you with heated front seats and all the standard driver assistance features you’ll need with Honda Sensing®. It also has the Magic Slide 2nd-Row™ seats standard.

The Honda Odyssey EX-L has a more refined feel with leather seats. While the next trim, the Honda Odyssey Touring makes more convenience features standard like the Rear Entertainment System and Hands-Free Power Tailgate.

The top trim level is the Elite. Inside it gives you heated and ventilated seats and an 11-speaker premium audio system. It also provides you with better visibility during storms with rain-sensing windshield wipers.
