Standard Butterfly Valves

SERIES E8400 Elite Valve Canada offers handles for on-off throttling service-One for resilient seated valves from 2”-24”(25mm-300mm). Quarter turn handles have a locking spring and a directional pointer for valve disc position indication. Bolted notch plates are offered. For resilient seated valves a 9 position plate is standard complete with on-off stops to prevent over rotation of the valve. Optionally available are an infinite position plate, a 180° notch plate.

SERIES E8500 Specifications:For heavy duty on-off throttling service of 2”-48”The SERIES 8500 is self lubricated for smooth, trou-ble free operation. Completely weather proof, the rugged, cast iron body and O-ring seals fully encase the internal worm and worm gear drive. A self lock-ing drive hold the valve in the desired position. Features include a readily accessible hand wheel, a valve position indicator and mechanical travel stops movement to specific degrees of rotation. Option-ally available are chainwheel accessories, padlock kits.

Elite Valve Canada has spent over the past several years developing product lines that can be the way of the future with revolutionary designs and high standards. critiquing every detail on the valve to ensure quality. All butterfly valves designed come with a strong epoxy coated for excellent corrosion, abrasion and impact resistant.

BODYOne piece wafer style or full flanged style. All bod-ies are drilled to be compatible with ANSI 125/150 or other international flange standards. This Series may be bolted to allow downstream flange removal or cross bolted for maximum resistance to the line stresses.

DISCThe high strength casting is spherically machined, hand polished to provide 360° concertric seating bi-directional bubble tight shit off. Minimum torque and longer seat life. The symmetrical disc perfor-mance the Cv values are higher, turbulance is re-duced and pressure recovery is increased. The disc O.D clearance is designed to work with all standard piping.

SEATThe seat is key element to the Elite Valves Butterfly line. The are all prepared to eleminate the need for a flange gaskets. Seat seals tightly with disc to provide a bubble tight shut off.

PRIMARY SEALThe primary seal is achieved by the preloaded con-tact of the spherically machined hand polished disc hubs with unique molded seat flat surfaces. This sealing method isolates the flowing media from the stem and body materal at all angles of the valve disc seating.

SECONDARY SEALA secondary seal is achieved by an interference fit of the stem and seat hole diameters

Elite Valve Canada is proud to bring a new line of Large Diameter, resilient seated butterfly valves the SERIES 8700/8800 valves are wafer versions. SERIES 8700 is rated at 75 psi and the SERIES 9500 is rated at 150 psi. This valve has many of the design features of the smaller but-terfly valves like high Cv ratings and minimal parts exposed to the line and their contents. Great reliability and proven record of long service life.

SERIES 8700-8800

STEMElite Valve offers a one piece through stem design is isolated from the flowing media and achieves high torsional strength. The stem ends are standardized for direct mounting and interchangeability with actuation

STEM PACKINGElitehas packing specifically designed to self adjust to the bi directional sealing. This prevents external substances from entering the upper stem bore. This packing is externally adjustable and functions well for vacuum applications as well as a third pressure seal in emergency situations.

ACTUATIOR MOUNTING FLANGEElite Valve Canada has specifically designed all our valves to be direct mountable to our actuators with a specific hole arrangement to ensure no shifiting .

RECOMMENEDED SPECIFICATIONS• Cast iron, wafer or double flanged bodies.

• Tongue-and-groove seat design with primary hub seal and a molded O-ring suitable for a weld-neck and slip-on flanges.

• No feild adjustments necessary to maintain optimum feild performance.

• Seat totally encapsulates the body with no flange gaskets required.

• Spherically machined, hand polished disc edge and hub for minimum torque and maximum sealing capacity.

• Equiped with non-corrosive bushing and self-ad-justing stem seals for pressure or vacuum on wafer valves.

•On flanged valves, equipped with packing glands and upper/lower bronze bearings. The packing gland to be adjustable without removing manual operator or actuator.

Bi-directional and tested to 110% of full pressure rating.

•Disc stem connected by 17-4 PH tangential ta-per pins driven, O-ring sealed, and mechanically locked.

INSTALLATIONPosition the disc in a partially open position, main-taining the disc within the body face to face. Place the body between the flanges and install bolts. Do not use flange gaskets. Before tightening flange bolts, carefully open the disc to the full open posi-tion to ensure proper allignment and clearance of the disc O.D. with the adjacent pipe I.D. Leave the disc in the full open position and tighten the flange bolts per required specification. Once bolts are tightened, carefully rotate disc to closed position to ensure disc O.D. clearance.

Damper Valves

FEATURESElite Valve Canada took alot of time in developing this unique pattern which allows for a direct mounting of a actuator to the stem connection. Extended neck on the valve allows for easy access without pipe flange interference. The Valves are manufactured to suite a specific application. The 8300 comes in sizes from 4”-96” all suitable for corrosive gase environments.

Warranty

Elite Valve Canada warranties it’s products against manufacturing defects or failure as a

result of manufacturing defects for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This

warranty is limited to the performance of the valve and all of its assembled components.

We reserve the right to repair, replace, or refund the purchaser for those components

at our discretion provided that no modifications or alterations have been made to the

assembly. Furthermore, the warranty is limited to the components in question and does not

cover any damages either directly or indirectly to the system. Elite Valve Canada’s warranty shall be void if any modifications are made to

the assembly or its individual components, and thereby releases Elite Valve Canada, its agents,

and its employees from obligation

INSTALLATIONInstalling a butterfly valve is a simple process, to show the proper installation methods without damaging the valve we sugguest the fallowing of these steps. Make sure to turn the valve prior to installing to make sure it flows smoothly and leave in a half open half closed position during installationg. When doing this it removes pressure from the seal allowing the valve to turn easily after the flanges are mounted to the valve turn the valve fully opened and fully closed for a test.
