Gabelli School of Business became national champions not once, but twice, last month. In late March, four students rep- resenting the CAFE program placed first in the undergraduate core in- vestment strategy category of the student-managed portfolio com- petition at the Quinnipiac Glob- al Asset Management Education (GAME) IV Forum held in New York City. A week later, two stu- dents from CAFE grabbed top hon- ors (along with the Dragon Fund at Drexel University) in the same cate- gory at RISE 2014, the University of Dayton’s 14th annual student port- folio competition. e two events represent the pin- nacle for the estimated 300 pro- grams nationwide that allow stu- dents to make investment decisions with real money. e competi- tive field is hardly a pushover - the GAME Forum hosted more than 1,000 students from 131 universi- ties in 21 countries; RISE 2014 drew a similar pool of student investment managers from across the globe. Mont Vernon Native Named Management Student of the Year at Stonehill College EASTON, MA – At the recent Scholars Celebration at Stonehill College, Mont Vernon native Tate Molaghan was named the Manage- ment Student of the Year in recog- nition of her outstanding academ- ic achievement in the management program. Phillips Exeter Announces Winter 2014 Honors EXETER – e following local student was named to the Phillips Exeter Academy honor roll for the winter 2014 term.
