Brief information about of FEZ

In order to further develop the economic and

social potential of the country and providing

favorable conditions for investments The

Government of the Republic of Tajikistan established

free economic zones.

Current legislation of Tajikistan "On free

economic zones" and the Regulation on free

economic zones approved by the Parliament, all

legislation in line with international standards

According to the Law of FEZ

– In the established Free Economic Zones of Tajikistan allowed all types of businesses that are not restricted by current Law.

– Duration of the free economic zones is 50 years depending on the type of the zone and specific aims and goals targeted.

– Administrations of the Free Economic Zones are coordinated and controlled by Authorized State Board of Free Economic Zone

The state guarantees for the subjects of FEZ

• The state shall guarantee the protection of the rights of subjects of FEZ on the territory of the FEZ

• The system of state guarantees for protection of property and investments and the use of land shall be applied to the subjects of FEZ

• Foreign investment in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan shall not be subject to nationalization, requisition

• Subjects of FEZ shall be guaranteed to transfer abroad their incomes and other amounts in foreign currency obtained legally as a result of their activity in the FEZ

• The state shall guarantee the full and unconditional protection of the rights and the legal interests of the subjects of free economic zones after the liquidation of the free economic zone in accordance with the current legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Customs and Tax regulations in FEZ

-Import into the territory of the FEZ of foreign and domestic goods shall be carried out without collection of customs duties and taxes and also without application to the goods of the bans and the restrictions of economic nature

-Export from the territory of the FEZ of the goods outside of Tajikistan shall not be subject to taxes and customs duties, except for the fees for customs clearance, and the bans and the restrictions of economic nature shall not apply.

-Exempted from all kinds of taxes, stipulated by the Tax code of Tajikistan, except for the social tax and the tax on the income of physical persons.

Current status

At present there are 4 FEZ: Sughd, Panj, Dangara

and Ishkoshim are registered in Tajikistan.

All four FEZ have their defined territories where

incentives and advantages are provided for Investment

for all types of businesses which are legally not restrited.
