Double-‐Take DR – What is it? • Double-‐Take DR is for the protec%on of en%re servers (Windows
only) or data that can afford a longer RTO at a frac%on of the cost of Double-‐Take Availability
• Can be used for DR of Tier 2 and Tier 3 servers that do not require the low RTO of Availability
• Can be used to supplement exis%ng local HA/DR strategies
• S%ll offers sub-‐second RPO to minimize data loss
• Can be used for centralized backup scenarios

1. Source machine can be 2003, 2008, or 2012 on any platform either locally or remote
2. Target machine is 2008 R2 or later and .VHD files are used for each volume protected
3. Recovery machine can be any platform or even the source but must match source OS and
