Business Class Onboarding Email #2 Subject line: [Business Class] Welcome #2: Join Our Facebook Group Hi [First Name], Part of what makes Business Class such a powerful program is the community of members we have and the group accountability that comes with connecting with motivated, talented, and inspiring entrepreneurs. Our virtual gathering place is in our private Facebook group, which you have access to so long as you are an active member (and have a Facebook account).

Note: if you signed up for Business Class with a different email address than what you use for Facebook, you need to email us and tell us what email address your Facebook account is associated with. THE BENEFITS OF OUR FACEBOOK GROUP: There are many Facebook groups out there for entrepreneurs. Many of them are free with thousands of members and a constant stream of updates. While these groups can offer some benefits, they often are filled with more noise than value. Our VIP Lounge (aka Facebook group) is different in the following ways: 1. Only Active Members Only active Business Class members are in this group, meaning only entrepreneurs who are committed to their business and who are working hard every day reaching for their goals. 2. Small in Size Since our group is limited to only active members, it’s small in size. That means that when you post a question or request feedback from other members, your post will be seen and heard. 3. Supportive & Safe Community This is my favorite aspect of the VIP Lounge. It can be a very vulnerable experience to have a question about business and need to ask for help. All too often, entrepreneurs in need go

Page 6: Business Class Onboarding Email #1 · Business Class Onboarding Email #2 Subject line: [Business Class] Welcome #2: Join Our Facebook Group Hi [First Name], Part of what makes Business

without getting support for this reason, and then they experience the consequences of making the wrong decision or taking the extra long road towards success. Our group is full of entrepreneurs who are all in the same business boat. We’re all trying to navigate growing our businesses, learning new tools, and reaching new customers together. We share what we find works well, and we provide cautionary advice when needed. If you have a question about your business or need personalized feedback on something you’re working through post it in the Facebook group. I am certain that you will benefit from the value of advice from other members and the quality of their insight. Free of Self Promotion If your intent is to join Business Class and then market your business or service to our members, then this is not the right program for you. A big value in our Facebook group comes from the selfpromotion free environment we cultivate and nurture. We only tolerate posts from members that are educational in nature meaning you’re either asking for help or you’re offering value. Members who post with the intent promote their brand, recruit leads or clients, or otherwise selfpromote will be removed from the group. ADDITIONAL MEMBERSHIP PERKS: In addition to the library of Destination Guides and the access to the VIP Lounge, here’s what else you can expect as a member: New Guide Released Each Month A new Destination Guide will be added to the library monthly. These come out in the first week of the month, and we focus our content within Business Class around that particular theme throughout the month. I will alert you of each new guide via our weekly email and in a Facebook Group post. Weekly Email A lot of the training comes via weekly email. We keep a repository of all past emails in the “Behind the Curtain” section of the member area in addition to some of the unique memberonly Facebook content I post. Monthly Training Calls I hold a monthly training call (usually the last Monday of the month) that corresponds to the topic of that month’s guide. You are encouraged to join these calls live, but we also record them and keep them in our training call library for you to access at any time.

Business Class Onboarding Email #3 Subject: [Business Class] Welcome #3: “I Don’t Have Enough Time!”

Hi [Name], I want to let you in on a little secret… Unlike a lot of other programs out there that just give you more to do, Business Class actually SAVES YOU TIME. Let me explain.

Page 8: Business Class Onboarding Email #1 · Business Class Onboarding Email #2 Subject line: [Business Class] Welcome #2: Join Our Facebook Group Hi [First Name], Part of what makes Business

Business class was strategically created for busy business owners. There are no shortage of membership programs out there for you to join geared towards helping you grow your business. I’m a member of several myself, and many of programs offer sound training and advice. But they all have one big drawback. They’re a huge timesuck! The trainings may be good, but they’re long. And they’re also structured in a way that in order to absorb the content, you have to go through the program in a linear fashion meaning start at the beginning and go all the way to the end. That is a huge problem for me and I know it is also a problem for every other entrepreneur out there with a busy schedule and big objectives. HOW BUSINESS CLASS SAVES YOU TIME: 1. Each Destination Guide starts with the end result in mind. Each training is structured in a way to streamline the strategies presented, eliminate any guesswork you may have, and deliver the content in such a way that you can cherrypick what lessons you want to learn and when. 2. The magazine format allows you to navigate to the training and lessons you need at the moment you need them, and the trainings are meant to be quick. Just as you would flip through your favorite magazine, each Destination Guide allows you to skip to just the section you are interested in and presents the content in a way so that you can find all the tutorials, videos, and checklists in one place. 3. Create connections and benefit from the Business Class Community. By connecting with our community of highly engaged and focused entrepreneurs, you save time. We are all here to help and support one another, so whether you have a question about creating a lead magnet, or need feedback on your copywriting, you can post your inquiry to the group and get a tailored and highlevel answer quickly usually within minutes. MY DAILY SUCCESS FORMULA: In addition to the trainings and community you’re going to get by being a member of Business Class, being a member means you also get exclusive access to some of my personal productivity strategies and tips. I put a lot of this information in the “Behind the Curtain” section of the member’s area.

Page 9: Business Class Onboarding Email #1 · Business Class Onboarding Email #2 Subject line: [Business Class] Welcome #2: Join Our Facebook Group Hi [First Name], Part of what makes Business

Time may just be the most valuable thing that we have, so I put a lot of personal focus and energy into figuring out how I can maximize my efforts and accomplish more in less time. And here’s an insight: In our modern world, we tend to overemphasize the “todo list” and underemphasize “space” in our daytoday lives. By creating more space in your day (by a simple routine and a process of elimination), the net result is more time. There is a post in the “Behind the Curtain” section called My Foolproof Daily Success Formula.

In it, I share how you can:

Get CLEAR on your daily focus. ELIMINATE items off your todo list (in order to maximize your progress). PRIORITIZE yourself

Read My Foolproof Daily Success Formula now, and start getting more out of each day. Here’s to inspiration and productivity!

Business Class Onboarding Email #4 Subject Line: [Business Class] Welcome #4: How To Achieve Your Goals

Hi [Name], I hope you’ve had a chance to login to the membership area of Business Class and that you had a chance to dive into one of the guides in the library. Here’s your login information again: Member Area: (add link) Username: TBD Password: TBD Remember the library of training guides can be accessed under the tab, “Destination Guides”. Whether you need a online business roadmap, some help with your copywriting, or want guidance on how to set up your next sale or promotion, there are a variety of Destination Guides available to you now to help you. Each guide is structured in a way to deliver you just the information you need to TAKE ACTION. You are busy with a lot on your plate. You don’t need a timesucking course to work through. Just actionable steps. Our guides are structured in that way. WHAT IS YOUR 30 DAY BUSINESS GOAL? I highly suggest reviewing our Goal Achievement Planner.

Page 11: Business Class Onboarding Email #1 · Business Class Onboarding Email #2 Subject line: [Business Class] Welcome #2: Join Our Facebook Group Hi [First Name], Part of what makes Business

This guide is a super actionoriented resource designed to help you set purposeful and achievable goals.

Within the guide, I uncover ways to identify your TRUE GOALS (hint, this is by understanding what you really want), and I lay out a map to set goals that are both big and reasonable to achieve. By working backwards and looking at where you want to be in 12 months time, we drill down to how you can approach and structure each individual day. The result of structuring your goals this way is that you actually will be making progress towards them each and every day! As a new member, I invite you to participate in the 30 day goalsetting challenge. Participating in this challenge will give you a great opportunity to introduce yourself to the community, it will help you get clear on your immediate objectives, and it will allow us to help you remain accountable. To participate, join us in the private Facebook group, introduce yourself, tell us what you want to accomplish in 30 days. Here are some ideas to get you started:

Your immediate goal could be to double your email list Your immediate goal could be to initiate a redesign of your website. Your immediate goal could be to start preparations for an upcoming sale or promotion.

No matter what your goal is, our Facebook group is full of kindhearted and equally ambitious entrepreneurs who are eager to help you, who want to help you stay motivated, and who want to connect with you in an effort to mutually support one another. Do you have any questions so far? If you have a technical question about logging into the Business Class site or a question about your membership, you can contact us here: www.MelanieDuncan.com/support I also have a dedicated “course concierge” to being available to assist you with the course content and any specific questions you may have as it relates to your business. Her name is Cindy Molchany, and you can either ping her in the Facebook group (@CindyMolchany) or send her an email at: [email protected]. Cindy is an entrepreneur, and she’s been in your shoes, so don’t hesitate to reach out to her if you need to. I look forward to seeing you in the Facebook group and learning what your 30 Day Goal is!

Business Class Onboarding Email #5 Subject Line: [Business Class] Welcome #5: Can We Chat?

Hi [Name], Did you know that surveying is one of the most powerful tools you as a business owner can leverage in your business? That is because feedback is vital! Feedback gives you insight into why your customers made the choice to buy from you when they did, it gives you clues as to what your customers need, and it gives you valuable nuggets of copy to work with in your marketing and communications. I use surveying to gather feedback from customers when they buy, when they cancel, and I also survey leads to my business as to why they did not buy from me. I have a very active and full SurveyMonkey account, and I make it a priority to analyze the data I receive on a regular basis as a way to constantly work to improve Business Class and create a program that provides you with what you need to succeed. So, with that said, if you haven’t already done so, will you take a few minutes to complete the Business Class Customer Discovery Survey?

Page 14: Business Class Onboarding Email #1 · Business Class Onboarding Email #2 Subject line: [Business Class] Welcome #2: Join Our Facebook Group Hi [First Name], Part of what makes Business

Answers can be anonymous, and your feedback is most appreciated as my team and I continue to make Business Class stronger and stronger of a program for entrepreneurs. 11 Call Opportunity with my Director of Membership My team and I have a few questions for you, and I wanted to see if you’d be interested in scheduling 20 minutes over the next few weeks with my Director of Membership, Cindy Molchany. I brought Cindy on last year to help me do a lot of the research for the trainings in Business Class and to help create the Destination Guides. She’s an entrepreneur herself, she’s experienced with running an online business, and she is available to you as a resource within Business Class. We want to make sure that you get the most out of your membership within Business Class as quickly as possible, so this call will be to answer any questions you may have about the content and trainings. It’s also an opportunity for you to ask questions specifically about your business perhaps a challenge you’re working through, a launch you’re in the middle of, or if you need some unbiased and objective feedback on something you’re working on.

Page 15: Business Class Onboarding Email #1 · Business Class Onboarding Email #2 Subject line: [Business Class] Welcome #2: Join Our Facebook Group Hi [First Name], Part of what makes Business

This call is optional, but I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity for you and your business. Cindy’s great at offering succinct insight and giving entrepreneurs specific tips that will deliver big wins quickly. If you’re interested in this call, please email Cindy directly to schedule a time. Her email is [email protected].

Business Class Onboarding Email #6 Subject Line: [Business Class] Welcome #6: Does Your Business Inspire You?

Hi [Name], I had a night recently where I couldn’t sleep. I was in the middle of creating the next training for Business Class, and I was just so excited about the tools and strategies that I’m sharing with you that I couldn’t get my mind to shut off. Does this ever happen to you? Where you get so into something so much that it fuels you? Where you seemingly can go on and on working on something without food, water, or sleep?! Just so we’re clear food, water, and sleep are all important necessities, but I think you get where I’m coming from! HOW TO CREATE A BUSINESS THAT INSPIRES YOU: When I get to a point working on something where I can’t sleep, that’s when I know I’m doing the right thing because I’m inspired!

Page 16: Business Class Onboarding Email #1 · Business Class Onboarding Email #2 Subject line: [Business Class] Welcome #2: Join Our Facebook Group Hi [First Name], Part of what makes Business

I don’t know about you, but I never experienced this sort of work inspiration when I was employed for someone else. If anything, the drudgery kept me up at night and the longing to do something else. Being inspired all the time would be great, but that’s not very realistic. As an entrepreneur there are always tasks and projects that need to get done, and sometimes there are hurdles which can seem almost insurmountable. What’s more realistic, however, is to cultivate more inspiration in and from your business, and that is one of my goals with Business Class to help you build a business that inspires you! How? Business Class is geared to help you get super clear on your business who you serve and what you do and that helps foster inspiration. Business Class is also structured to teach you the tools and strategies to increase your sales. (Because when you’re less stressed and not concerned about keeping the lights on in your business, you’re more receptive to moments of inspiration.) One of my business philosophies is that being inspired by your business isn’t just a privilege that you get to experience here and there; you should think of it as your responsibility to build a business for yourself that feeds inspiration to you on a regular basis. TODAY’S CHALLENGE:

Page 17: Business Class Onboarding Email #1 · Business Class Onboarding Email #2 Subject line: [Business Class] Welcome #2: Join Our Facebook Group Hi [First Name], Part of what makes Business

Step 1 I want you to write down 5 things about your business that you love, love doing, or 5 things in your business that you know inspires you. For me, I tend to get inspired when I’m creating trainings that I know will make a big impact for our members. For you it could be anything like sending an email blast to your list, meeting oneonone with your customers, or just the simple act of unlocking the door to your shop each morning. Step 2 I also want you to write down 5 things about your business that you feel are preventing you from experiencing more bouts of inspiration. Is it the bookkeeping? Is it handling all the customer support emails? Is it your not feeling confident when you speak with prospects? Step 3 Now I want you to look at each of the 5 things that prevent inspiration and write down ideas on how to fix or change that. If you don’t like handling the bookkeeping or customer support emails, then perhaps you need to start planning to outsource. If you lack confidence in selling, then perhaps you need to work on your selling skills so that it becomes less stressful of a task. Step 4 The last step in this challenge is to fill in the blanks below. I want you to eliminate what you identified as preventing inspiration (step 2) in order to create more of what you identified as something that fosters inspiration (step 1) by doing what you outlined in step 3. “In order to create more inspiration in my business, I will set a goal to ________(Step 3)_____________ so that I can have more time to ________(Step 1)_____________.” i.e. “In order to create more inspiration in my business, I will set a goal to outsource my bookkeeping responsibilities so that I can have more time to dedicate to meeting oneonone with my customers.”

Page 18: Business Class Onboarding Email #1 · Business Class Onboarding Email #2 Subject line: [Business Class] Welcome #2: Join Our Facebook Group Hi [First Name], Part of what makes Business

So what did you come up with? Did you come up with a statement or two that you can move forward with and work to implement? I hope so! I like to do this exercise when I’m feeling stuck or low on inspiration. Sometimes I even write these down on postit notes and put them in places where I will regularly see them. Feel free to share yours in the VIP lounge. Here’s to filling each day with creativity and inspiration.

Business Class Onboarding Email #7 Subject Line: [Business Class] Welcome #7: Where is #WorkFromWherever for You?

Hi [Name], By now you probably know a little bit about me, about my business journey, and about how I’ve been able to create multiple 7figure businesses that afford me the freedom to #WorkFromWherever. I love posting beautiful photographs of my #WorkFromWherever reality to my Instagram profile. It’s not only fun to share where I am in the world, but I love that I have been able to inspire and teach others to achieve their own business success so that they can #WorkFromWherever too. And just so we’re clear, #WorkFromWherever doesn’t just mean the freedom to travel; that just happens to be one of my main goals in creating a successful and profitable business. It’s all about FREEDOM and what that means to YOU.

Page 19: Business Class Onboarding Email #1 · Business Class Onboarding Email #2 Subject line: [Business Class] Welcome #2: Join Our Facebook Group Hi [First Name], Part of what makes Business

THE POWER OF SETTING THE RIGHT GOALS You could have the dream to conduct your business from your laptop on the beach while sipping a mai tai, but #WorkFromWherever is just as powerful if your goal is to simply work from home or if it’s to spend more time with your family. So we’re going to have a little fun. As part of the welcome party to Business Class, I want you to create and share your own #WorkFromWherever goals. (To help you identify your goals in business and in life, go through the Goal Achievement Planner Destination Guide!) “The Best Way to Predict the Future is to Create it” Abraham Lincoln I do not pretend that success came easily or quickly to me, and I certainly wouldn’t lead you to think that once I achieved a certain level of success that I started to discover a love of travel and luxury. No, no, no. I designed all this. It was my efforts early on in setting clear goals of what I wanted my success to look like, and how I wanted my success to affect my life, that got me to where I am at today.

Page 20: Business Class Onboarding Email #1 · Business Class Onboarding Email #2 Subject line: [Business Class] Welcome #2: Join Our Facebook Group Hi [First Name], Part of what makes Business

#WorkFromWherever Itinerary Above is my own #WorkFromWherever Itinerary. It’s a simple, yet powerful reminder that helps keep me focused, working hard, and on task. I have not only established what I want my goal (business destination) to be, but I’ve justified it with WHY. My why is my itinerary, or what my life will look like once I achieve my goal. Now it’s your turn. Step 1: Decide on Your Destination Your destination is what kind of success you want your business to achieve and to establish what #WorkFromWherever means to you. Get specific here. We all want success, but in order for you to start creating your future, you need to define it first. Set a specific sales goal and then clarify what that level of success will give you. Step 2: Set a Departure Date Once you have set your destination, I want you to set a date. This departure date is the date you want to arrive at your destination or the date you’d like to achieve your goal by. Step 3: List Your Itinerary This is where the fun really begins! What will your life look and be like once you arrive to your destination or once you reach your goals? List them out.

Page 21: Business Class Onboarding Email #1 · Business Class Onboarding Email #2 Subject line: [Business Class] Welcome #2: Join Our Facebook Group Hi [First Name], Part of what makes Business

This exercise is not about creating steps to achieve your goal, it’s illuminating the results and the payback you’ll get for all your hard work and effort! Step 4: Share Your #WorkFromWherever Itinerary in the Facebook group You may be inclined to shy away from this step, but I’d really like you to consider doing this. Accountability is a big part of Business Class, and we’ve worked hard to create a supportive and nurturing community of likeminded entrepreneurs. By posting your #WorkFromWherever Itinerary in the group, you’ll not only inspire the rest of us, but you’ll be setting your itinerary into motion. Here’s to your goals and dreams and making them into your reality! If you want more specific guidance on goal setting, please go through the “Goal Achievement Planner” Destination Guide found in the member’s area

Bonus! You don’t need to do this, and posting a text update to the Facebook group is just fine, but I’ve attached (LINK) a blank #WorkFromWherever Itinerary image for you to complete and add as a photo to the group. All you need to do is upload this image to a photo editing service like canva.com, add your own photo on top of the placeholder, and then add text boxes to fill in the rest.
