Eratex believes that good communication and relations between workers and their

supervisors /managers are one of the essential requirements to build a strong Company

capable of providing quality products and services to customers. With this belief, the

CSR team organized annual Halal Bihalal event which is a family gathering function. The

event held on Sunday, 8th July 2018 in Baitul Mustaqim Mosque inside factory premises.

The event, attended by employees from all sections, started with religious prayer and

ended on a joyful note with eating delicious foods.

HER Project committee continued with its initiatives aimed at improving the health of

the women employees. In last quarter, informative training sessions were organized to

cover the following key health awareness topics:

1. Infectious diseases (tuberculosis (TBC), hepatitis B, and Upper Respiratory Infection (ISPA))

2. Non-infectious diseases (Diabetes, cervical cancer, and breast cancer)

The knowledge gained by trainees (PE) was adequately shared with 1,520 employees of

3rd batch through scheduled day-to-day interactions.

Her Project Training

Eratex women Committee and HER project committee, with the support of BPJS Probolinggo

organized a health seminar in factory premises for employees on 18th July, 25th August, and

22nd September to create awareness about diabetes, stroke and HIV/AIDS. Workers from

various departments and Peer educators (PEs) attended this seminar and gained in depth

knowledge / training from BPJS’s doctors. The seminar covered various topic such as cause

and symptoms of diabetes, stroke and HIV/AIDS, food to be avoided by diabetes stroke and

HIV/AIDS patient, also how to prevent and medical treatment for disease.

Evacuation & Fire Drill

Conducting fire evacuation drills and first aid trainings is an important exercise in Eratex. In last

quarter, fire and evacuation drill was conducted for day and night shift operations in

plants on 5th July, 24th August and 28th August 2018. The timing of complete evacuation

from the building was less than 2 minutes which is a satisfactory performance from

safety point of view. Besides, a demonstration was also given on various first aid

techniques on how to handle the emergencies

As per UNICEF report (source: (UNICEF)), HIV infection is increasing at an alarming rate in

Indonesia as in every 25 minutes one person in Indonesia gets infected by HIV virus. One of

the main reasons is lack of proper awareness about the disease and its precautionary

measures.

Keeping in view this, HER Project committee of Eratex compiled a document to increase

awareness about HIV-AIDS. The document is also included as part of our training curriculum. It

covers simple explanation about the disease, how HIV-AIDS Virus can be prevented from

spreading, general precautions in public areas, training steps for HIV AIDS awareness and

dealing with a HIV AIDS infected person etc. Efforts of Eratex were recognized by Ministry of

manpower as platinum category award for “HIV-AIDS Prevention Program in Workplace” was

given to Eratex on 9th August 2018.

On 10th September, 2018. Eratex got appreciation in the form of awards from Mayor of

Probolinggo city. First award is for “Best in class” in conducting CSR activities consistently in

the category of “manufacturing sector Companies” and the second award is for “Best in class”

in conducting CSR activities and contributing significantly towards achieving a best

environmental look for Probolinggo city in the “Corporate category”.

Mass Circumcision

This year mass circumcision event for 110 children from surrounding area was held in

factory clinic on 1st July 2018. The event was organized in cooperation with Baitul

Mustaqim mosque. Children were enlightened by religious preachers, entertained by

marching band, city tour in a toy train and other joyful activities. Children also got

multiple gifts in the form of money as well as clothes. Event was much enjoyed and

appreciated by employees and their families.

Eratex along with Probolinggo Red Cross (PMI) continued its tradition of organizing a blood

donating camp in factory clinic. 181 employees donated their blood during last such camps

held on 14th July, 18th August, 15th September and 22nd September 2018.

Eid al-Adha Celebration

Eid al-Adha, is one of the most sacred Muslim festival celebrated worldwide. Muslim

celebrate this festival by doing Eid prayers and donating halal meat. Eratex celebrated Eid Al-

Adha on 25th August 2018, by distributing 372 package of meat to the surrounding

society, orphanage, and old age homes. Management and workers also conducted Eid

Prayer in Baitul Mustaqim Mosque located in side factory premises.

New year as per Muslim calendar starts in September. Eratex started New Year with a

noble cause of donation in the form of groceries, stationaries, and cash to 85 orphans

of surrounding areas on 30th September 2018. This act is much appreciated by the society of

Probolinggo city.

School Visits

Eratex, being one of the largest companies in Probolinggo City, welcomes educational tours in

its campus organized by various schools from surrounding areas. The students not only see the

garment manufacturing process but also get briefing about different aspects of garment industry

and industrial setup. The better understanding about an industrial setup in schooling stage

helps students in selection of their educational career.

“Lombok” was hit badly by 6.4 scale Richter earthquakes in July 2018 which displaced lots of

people from their houses. HR & CSR teams from all Companies of BUSANA Apparel group,

including Eratex, raised voluntary contributions from employees and with the help of a

significant contribution from BUSANA Group management, donated of 1 billion rupiah for this

noble cause through Executive Chairman division of Red Cross Indonesia (PMI).

Cleaned Umbul River

On 7th September 2018, HER project team initiated the task of

cleaning the local river which also passes through the

premises of Eratex. 39 employees participated in this

cleaning drive. It took two and a half hours to clean the

garbage and sediments from the river. The waste and garbage

collected from river was transported by using Eratex trucks to

the area permitted for land filling. Cleaning helps in smooth

flow of water which prevents water to overflow in low areas of

adjoining villages during rainy season.
