What We Do

• Use motivational interviewing techniques to:– Build rapport with clients to support their own journey to

better health (focussing on their own strengths!)– Help the client to prioritise and assess their own health

needs– Identify and overcome their barriers to change

• Share information specific to the individual’s needs

• Agree small achievable goals using the S.M.A.R.T. model– Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Timely!

• Access Criteria:– Clients must be registered with a Bury GP and/or– Live, work or study within the borough of Bury and– 16+ years for Stop Smoking, Weight Management

and Breastfeeding clients– 16+ years for all other topic areas
