BUNGENDORE PUBLIC SCHOOL
Presents
THE BIANNUAL PRIMARY CONCERT
14 September 2017
6.30pm
“A Night at the Movies”
Congratulations to Mr Dean from 3D,
who has taken up a position as
Assistant Principal at Queanbeyan
South Public School until the end of
the year.
Welcome to Ms Ebony O’Connell who
is replacing Mr Dean as class teacher
of 3D.
Teachers will advise students on the
arrival time for classroom preparations
before the performance.
Students will return to their classrooms
after their performance for parents to
pick up at the conclusion of the
concert.
TOMORROW is Year 6’s last
mufti day fundraiser! Come to school dressed as something starting with
the first letter of your name!
“Stranger Danger”
Many children do not
understand the
concept of a
stranger.
Many believe that strangers are
mean, ugly people — so the nice
man asking for help to find his lost
puppy? Not a stranger.
Teaching children to avoid strangers
is not enough.
We must also teach them to
recognize and respond to potentially
dangerous situations.
For more information on how to talk
to children about “Stranger Danger”,
go to:

KIDSARTWORKS
FUNDRAISER CALENDARS
Children are now busy working on their
spectacular artworks; ready to be made
into Calendars.
Each calendar costs just $10.00!
They make wonderful Christmas gifts and
you can order as many copies as you
like!
Look for the order form in your child’s
bag or use the additional form you’ll find
in today’s newsletter.

Support buying Maths resources for our school.
The challenge has been set with Matific’s Maths Competition!
Matific, an online primary maths resource is running a maths competition and we are excited to be taking part!
The Matific Games, which concludes on September 13, 2017, awards students as they progress through the educational activities with stars. The more our students play, the more stars are col-
lected and the higher the chance of winning the major prize of $20,000 cash!
The best part about this great competition is that screen time, really is learning time with Matific -- a recent academic study showed that Matific helped improve students maths test results by 34%
So let's all get into the competitive spirit and show other schools in our area what we are made of.
For more information visit www.matific.com.au
LOST PROPERTY
There are many items in the lost property box.
If you think your child is missing some clothing, please check the lost property box out-
side K/6O. Most of the items do not have names on them.
To ensure that lost property is returned to your child, please write their name on the tag.
Any items left in lost property at the end to the term will be donated to charity.

Father’s Day Stall
We would like to thank a few
volunteers who made sure our Father’s
day stall was a success for the kids,
P&C and of course the father’s who
are anxiously waiting for their gifts on
Sunday.
Special thanks to Trudy for buying and
sorting all of the gifts, no doubt you’ll
be impressed with the choice. Our
personal shop assistants did an
outstanding job of helping the kids with
their choices. Huge thanks to
Sharmain, Michelle, Jennifer, Natalie,
Cilla, Chloe and Stephanie.
Rockstar Disco
We are beyond excited and almost
ready for an incredibly fun family night
tomorrow night. Don’t forget your
tickets so you can exchange them for
your entry, food and drinks.
It is an unsupervised event so you
need to ensure you have an adult
supervising your child at all times. No
alcohol is allowed on school grounds.
We are still after some volunteers to
ensure the night is a success and fun
for all. If you can help out please
