• Today we celebrate the baptism of Sarah Louise Green during the 11:00 AM Traditional Service at the Downtown Campus. Sarah Louise is the daughter of Anna and Logan Green.

• During this Lenten season, we are collecting a special Lenten Offering for Missions. 100% of these funds will be used to support our many efforts in Greenville and around the world. Your dollars make a huge impact to those in need.

• In response to flu season and COVID-19, we need to take extra precautions to help everyone stay healthy.

• Please give one another warm smiles in place of shaking hands.

• We will not celebrate the sacrament of holy communion until the prevalence of contagions lessens.

• Custodians are wiping handrails, door handles, and elevator buttons before each worship service.

• The Children’s Ministry will continue to ensure that toys are disinfected.

• Traditional Worship service bulletins will now include the lyrics to hymns.

Together we can make a big difference in the health and well-being of our faith community as we continue to worship, study and serve!

• The Fellowship Club Yesteryukes concert planned for March 17 has been canceled until further notice. Please stay tuned for upcoming Fellowship Club events over the coming months.

• Adult VBS with Ed Kilbourne has been rescheduled for November 2-5. Please contact Cathy Musselwhite for more information at 864.720.1637.

• Troop 9 Boy Scouts are organizing a yard sale on Saturday, March 28 in the parking lot next to the Scout Hut at the Downtown Campus. All proceeds will benefit scouting programs. Donations for the sale can be dropped off at the Scout Hut Wednesday evenings from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM. If you have any items that we need to pick up, contact Tim Poole at 864.430.1976 or tim.poole@hotmail.com.

• Join our BSUMC Sprouts in doing our part to end hunger by participating in the Upstate Crop Walk on March 22. This 5K family fun walk/run raises awareness of hunger in the Upstate. 100% of proceeds go to end hunger locally and internationally. Visit crophungerwalk.org/greenvillesc for more info.

• Sign up today for Adult VBS led by Ed Kilbourne taking place March 23-25 in the Fellowship Hall at Trinity Campus. The morning sessions of storytelling, music, humor and worship end at 12:00 PM and are followed by a meal, which is included in the price of $30. Paper registrations are available at both campuses. You may also register and pay online on Realm or call the church office of either campus to register. Registration closes March 16, 2020.

• Attention BSUMC Women and friends! The B-Street Women Spring Dinner is coming up April 2 from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM in Drake Hall. Registration is open online.

introduction

Dearly Beloved, baptism is an outward and visible sign of the grace of the Lord Jesus

Christ, through which grace we become partakers of his righteousness and heirs to lif

eternal. Those receiving the sacrament are thereby marked as Christian disciples and

initiated into the fellowship of Christ’s Holy Church. Our Lord has expressly given to

little children a place among the people of God which holy privilege must not be

denied them. Remember the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, how he said, “Let the

children come to me, do not hinder them; for to such belongs the Kingdom of God.”

commendation and Welcome Members of the household of faith, I commend to your love and care Sarah Louise Green, whom we this day recognize as a member of the family of God. Will you

endeavor so to live that she may grow in the knowledge and love of God the Father,

through our Savior Jesus Christ?

With God’s help, we will so order our lives after the example of Christ that

Sarah Louise, surrounded by steadfast love, may be established in the
