CHILDREN Our well supervised Nursery and Children’s
programs offer a warm and caring atmosphere.
Our “JAMTowne” entrance is in the lobby next to
the coffee bar!
COMMUNION Jesus gave this memorial to remind us of the price
He paid for our sins – death on a cross. Christians
are invited to meditate on God’s love and grace as
they participate.
OFFERING We give out of our love for God to support His
work here on earth. If you are a guest we
welcome you to express your gratitude but do not
feel pressured.
DECISIONS At the end of the service an invitation is extended
and is an opportunity for you to walk forward to
accept Jesus as your Savior, rededicate your life,
transfer your membership or ask for prayer and
spiritual counsel.
BAPTISM Immersion in water pictures the death and burial
of our old life without Jesus and the beginning of
our new life as His follower. It is the moment
when God’s grace unites with our faith providing
forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit.

THIS WEEK’S ACTIVITIES
PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR STUDENTS GOING TO CIY
STUDENT MINISTRY
Towne South Students is all about groups!
Being in the right group is important! We want all our
6-12th grade students to be connected to our student
ministry; and one of the best ways to do that is to get
plugged into a Small Group! All of our groups meet on Sunday morning from
10-11 AM. Join a group today!

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES
The Attic is closed for the Summer! We enjoy providing a place
for 6 -12th grade students to come hang out and have some fun in
a safe environment on most Friday nights during the school year!
We are now closed for the Summer, but will be reopening in the
Fall. If you have interest in volunteering at The Attic, visit The
Hub and complete a student ministry volunteer card.
Twenty-five of our students plus nine
sponsors from Towne South will leave early
tomorrow morning for Tennessee for their
week of CIY Move. There is a list of those
going, as well as prayer suggestions for each
day of the conference at The Hub for anyone
wishing a paper copy. This prayer material
will also be sent via a church-wide email and posted on social media. Let's
undergird this grand opportunity for our students with our prayers. (Our
participants will also be joined by two from Journey and four from SonRise.)
Thank you for caring for our next generation and for petitioning God to Move in
their lives.

JAMTowne Preschool!
JAMTowne Preschool is hiring!
There is currently an opening for one teacher for our
three-year old preschool class and a teacher assistant for
our two-year old class. Applications for both positions are
available at The Hub. The due date for all applications to
be returned is Sunday, July 8.
Towne South has been awarded the September
meeting of Area Ladies! Every third month, women
from churches of Christ and Christian churches
around Elizabeth City get together for a Girls' Night
Out. Towne South last hosted this event in June
2016, and it’s our turn again on Monday,
September 10. We’ll provide the meal at 7 PM and direct the thoughts of the
evening along a theme of our selection. Even if you have never gotten together
with this group, we hope you will make space for this evening in your schedule.
For questions, please see Event Coordinator Beth BonDurant.
All women are welcome as a new study
begins in the Ladies' Sunday School Class
next Sunday, July 8. The books of Leviticus,
Numbers, and Deuteronomy portray the laws,
purposes, and character of God. Through a
study of these books, we can learn how God
blessed and admonished those whom He had
chosen to be His representatives to the rest of the world. They have much to
teach us as we strive to be God's people in the world today. The ladies meet in
Classroom 109 to the left of the stage.
This past week, Brad has been in Indianapolis, IN
attending the North American Christian
Convention. In his absence this morning, we
welcome our summer preaching intern, Chris
Gibbs. Chris will be speaking to us today on the
subject of “prayer.”
