Sunday of Easter
“For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that be
God’s will, than for doing evil.” 1 Peter 3:17
The old line says “if you want to make God laugh, tell
him your plans.” Many of us are diligent in our
planning, making sure things are progressing
smoothly, then disaster strikes, we don’t get the result
that was intended. An unforeseen problem arises.
Many times we may respond negatively. Why me? I
did everything right! Here’s the thing – God has a
different and better plan in store for you.
----------------------------------------------------------
Holy Family Quilters are wrapping up another year of
sewing and friendship. A sale of quilted items
including bags, table toppers, place mats and quilts
will be held on the weekend of May 27 and 28, before
and after all Masses (5:00 PM, 9:00 and 11:00 AM).
Please support the efforts of 23 members, as proceeds
go towards charities, including our own parish.
Donations of cotton fabric or batting are accepted. You
may wish to consider joining our group which meets
every Monday afternoon in the Upper Meeting Room
of Holy Family Church. We will resume on September
11, from 1:00 until 4:00 PM. In January we will
celebrate TEN years of working together!
-----------------------------------------------------------------
