Calming Herbal Facial Steam and Mask
Phase 1 - Facial Steam: 1. In a large glass bowl, combine chamomile,
calendula, lavender and nettle.
2. Pour 4 cups of boiling water over the herbs.
3. While the herbs steep, drape a towel over your head and shoulders, and lean your face over the bowl, about 6 to 8 inches above the water.
4. Allow the steam to rise over your skin for 3 to 5 minutes.
5. Remove towel from your head and shoulders, and strain the herbs from the bowl, reserving the herbal infusion.
Ingredients: 1 tablespoon Frontier Chamomile Flowers
1 tablespoon Frontier Calendula Petals
1 tablespoon Frontier Lavender Flowers
1 tablespoon Frontier Nettle Leaf
1 1/2 teaspoons Frontier Bentonite Clay Powder
1 drop neroli essential oil (optional)
1 drop geranium essential oil (optional)
1 tablespoon Frontier Hibiscus Flowers (optional)
1 tablespoon Rose Petals, (optional)
Phase 2 - Facial Mask 1. In a small glass bowl, combine Bentonite
clay, 1 teaspoon of the reserved herbal water and essential oils, if desired.
2. Mix with clean fingers or a wooden spoon. *Avoid using metal with clay.
3. Gently apply clay mask to your face with fingers or a small brush, avoiding eyes.Leave mask on face for 5 to10 minutes, then rinse with the remaining cooled herbal water. Rinse with warm water, pat dry and apply moisturizer, if desired.
Quick tips • Substitute green or even red clay for the Bentonite clay, if desired
• Use the facial steam and mask once a week for best results.
