Project Aim

To improve the attractiveness of vocational education within target groups and interested public in the manufacture of furniture.

To improve the understanding of core terms in furniture industry by using interactive and systematic educational on-line portal.

WP 1. Creation of source document

11/2010 – 11/2011English source version of specific terms used in European standards and national requirements. Translation of origin English version into partner languages.Defining educational needs of target groups through analysis in order to design the internet educational tools for the project target group.


Basic activity areas

To gather relevant information from available sources and technical standards in English

To translate explanatory dictionary into partner languages

To complete possible sources and documents, directives and related documents in furniture branch which will be used in e-learning

To compare regulations in partners´ countries and put on these specifics in relevant language version


WP 2. New educational portal

Create new Interactive Furniture Portal, that includes activities such as programming, web designing, and ensuring interactive functions of the portal

E-learning module in form of "multifunctional house"



To prepare corporate design and visual style of the new web portal

To implement gathered information and dictionary in e-learning programme

To prepare educational tools for – e-learning in the form of interactive “multi-functional house”

To translate educational tools (e-learning features) into partner languages

To implement explanatory dictionary and educational tools into web portal

WP 3. Testing and Evaluation

Every partner will test functionality of all portal features evaluate interest of target groups

Outcomes from this work package should be removal of any potential technical problems and feedback report from evaluated questionnaires (user-friendliness of the portal etc.).
