TEMPORARY ALUMINIUM ROOFS
The T76 and T120 roofs are light, functional structures, designed both to protect constructions sites from the weather and to safeguard the surrounding environment from any dispersal of material from the works, improving the performance and safety of workers.This is a modular, double-pitched roof system made of aluminium girders covered with PVC sheetcovering to protect any type of site.These roofs can be fixed both on multidirectional, prefabricated frames and on wall or tower structures and are installed using any hoisting system. It is possible to combine the roofs with vertical partitions fixed on the scaffolding to create a completely enclosed environment.A protected construction site is not subject to delays due to bad weather.
For specific requirements, the roof can also be made with single pitch to protect archaeologicaldigs or urban work sites.
CHARACTERISTICS • the main structure consists of modular bearing beams in aluminium with double pitch, with
an inclination of 15 degrees. The height of the beam is 76 cm or 120 cm, connected with rigid braced frame with constant spacing of 2.5 m. T76 allows a frontal size from 8.9 to 26.3 m, while the T120 can have a frontal size spanning from 8.9 to 40.0 m. The beams are equipped with an upper guide profile to house the frame in PVC. Greater sizes are available with the support of Pilosio’s technical office.
• uprights, diagonal, bracings and stiffening in aluminium tubular elements with diameter of 48 mm are equipped with a unique quick hooking system QUICK SYSTEM. The uprights and diagonals are placed in a lower position than the coverings to prevent irregularities in the coverage
• PVC coated polyester fabric tarpaulin of 650 g/m2, class 2 fire resistant, provided with lateral curbs for sliding and fastening the guides
• fastening of the sheet to terminal elements of the covering by using a practical systems of pipes and pawl tensioner
• possibility to create vertical infillings fastened on support scaffoldings with the same system used for the covering sheets to obtain a structure completely closed
• the covering of the individual sheets, 2.5 m wide, allows an extreme handling given the reduced weight to be handled allowing a considerable saving of time
• there is the possibility to combine carts with wheels on the tracks for the lateral and cross movement of the covering.

DESIGN CHARTThe capacity of the double pitch temporary roof has to be assessed according to the Codes, in function of different parameters: the installation site, the geometry of the structure, the type of supports and the height of installation.The following chart shows the loading curves for the evaluation of the bearing capacity of the coverings.
T76 Building: is a standard double pitch framed structure, with beam height equal to 76 cm. T120 Building: is a standard double pitch framed structure, with beam height equal to 120 cm. The section of the elements is different respect to the standard “T76 Building”.T120 Building Reinforced: is a double pitch framed structure, with beam height equal to 120 cm. The section of elements is equal to the covering “T120 Building”, but the bracing system is doubled.
