Build Up Activities
There are 3 build up activities:
-The Environmental Song and Dance Competition
-The Environmental Fashion Show Competition
-Environmental Fashion Show Training Workshop
Build Up Activities
Environmental Song and Dance
Competition
Students are expected to come out with an
environmental song (lyrics) and choreograph a
dance to the song.
The students are also encouraged to use
recyclable materials as props and costumes for
the competition
Each team must consist of a minimum of 8
students
The whole routine must not be more than 4
minutes

Competition There are 3 categories
Primary
Secondary
Open
There will be two parts to the competition, the
preliminary round and the finals.
The closing date for submission of Song
and Dance entries is 16 May 2005 and
schools will be notified of their schedule to
perform in the preliminaries, which will
take place in the last week of June.

Open
All participating teams must submit a write up
and pictures of their designs from which schools
will be short listed for the finals.
A minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 designs
must be submitted.

sketches and photographs of their designs by 2
Sep 05 from which schools will be short listed
for the finals.

Workshop
The training workshop will be conducted for
the secondary and JC schools which have
registered for the Environmental Fashion Show
Competition.
The workshop is limited to 3 students per
school.

WorkshopThe objective of the workshop is to teach
students:
to conduct a fashion show with
environmental component applied to it.
to learn how to design fashion clothes using
recyclable and reusable materials.
to differentiate between recyclable
materials and those that cannot be recycled .
Build Up ActivitiesGeneral info•The criteria and the registration forms of the competitions will be released to all schools in the 1st week of February via the EEAs’ email.
• All the information will also be available in the
NEA website

• NEA will take care of the copyrights of the
music used by the participating teams for
broadcast during the Clean & Green Week 2005
Schools Carnival.
Build Up Activities
•The finals of the competitions will take place at
the CGW 2005 Schools Carnival on November
16-17
•All finalist will perform on both the days of the
CGW 2005 Schools Carnival.
