This is the generic presentation that I use to accompany my workshop with students. During the workshop I ask the students to work through a couple of tasks that could help them to form the start of their profile for LinkedIn. Just as graduates research employers online, these employers are now researching their applicants, and, with the wealth of information available, employers can thoroughly investigate
each prospective candidate.

Can you briefly describe in one sentence any projects that could help you to stand out?
• In my final year I was successfully chosen to go to Glastonbury to report on the Glade tent and was lucky enough to interview Orbital on camera.
• During my degree I was part of a research group that looked into how to accurately measure the fitness of a dancers in the English National Ballet touring company.
• Throughout my studies I have been volunteering my time to support the EcoErnie project, collecting unwanted house-hold items and giving them to those in need in the Southampton area.
