    Building Dreams

    A MILLION DOLLAR CAMPAIGN

  • Lakeland FASD Summer Camp The Lakeland FASD Society is looking to build a facility that can host a variety of events, training, and, of course, Camp! A secondary service of the facility will be its availability to the community for use in the off season.

Land has been acquired at French Bay, located approximately 10 kms east of the City of Cold Lake and situated near the Kinosoo Ridge Ski Resort.

It is a beautiful woodland acreage untouched by residential or commercial development. A beautiful building, harmonious with its panoramic location, will be complimentary to the nearby Ski Resort and surrounding communities.

The Lakeland FASD Camp & Retreat Facility will be available to local organizations for meetings, workshops &/or team building exercises. Similarly, it will be a tremendous resource to share with our corporate donors to host retreats.

The projected cost of this venture is 1+million dollars. To date, the LCFASD has committed $120,000+ to the initial development & furtherance of the Camp facility. The Society is seeking $900,000 to achieve our goal of 1+million dollars.

The LCFASD believes in partnerships and is not solely a recipient of funds.

Donors may make one or more of the following requests of the LCFASD:

Information session on the Camp Facility venture

FASD 101 training Specialized information about

the LCFASD & its programs To participate in Donor fundraising activities To be keynote speakers or

    guests at corporate events

It is not the intention of the Society to host numerous fundraising events; preferably, we would like to reach out to our current partners to collaborate with the Society in this venture. Cash, in-kind products/services, or manpower are all valuable contributions.

All donations & donors are important and we value these relationships. For this very special project we have developed a system of recognition based on the level of donations:

The LCFASD is a not-for-profit organization & an established Alberta FASD Service Network recognized by the Canadian Government as a best practice model in the field of FASD.

$$ All donations over $50,000 will grant the donor an opportunity to use the facility within the first year of operation free of charge/at no cost!

$$ The largest donor, over $500,000, will have the opportunity to name the Camp facility!
