Building the race cars:

Body: Milk cartonEmpty tissue box500ml or 1.5L plastic bottles

Axles and Wheels: Satay sticks (provided by GKidz)Straws (provided by GKidz)Bottle caps

Raffia Strings Timothy Club (provided by GKidz) Sails Barnabas Club: plastic bags newspapers

To make the wheels, firstly, use a screwdriver to puncture the bottle caps

Use a scissors to cut the straw, shorter than the width of the car body

Insert a satay stick into the punctured bottle cap, then insert the cut straw into itInsert another punctured bottle cap at the other end

Using a scotch tape, secure the axles and wheels onto the body of the car.Cut away the excess satay stick

Timothy ClubCut a raffia string long enough for a child to pull. Use scotch tape to stick it onto the car

To make the sail, cut a plastic bag into a square-shaped sheetPierce the plastic sheet with satay sticks (cut the length accordingly) Poke the sticks through it as shown in the figure below (Rag cloth is used as an example).

Barnabas ClubFront viewBack viewInsert a satay stick through the middle of the sail (as shown in the pictures below)Insert the sails to the middle part of the cars body. Ensure it pierces all the way through. Secure the bottom of the sails onto the body with tape to ensure it does not turn to the left or right while fanning. Add a few decorations to impress the judges and the car is ready for racing.
