But The NUKE isn’t just about power. With its staggering array of tone-sculpting options, including a 3-band EQ with sweepable mids, Ultra-High, Ultra-Low and Bright switches, and a 9-band graphic EQ — The NUKE is all about tone! Extremely Broad Tonal Toolkit All the power in the world won’t save you if your tone sucks! That’s why we gave The NUKE the ultimate in tone-shaping capability. Sure, you get the typical BASS, MID and TREBLE controls, but you also get total command over your bass’ “voice” via the Mid Frequency sweep control, which allows you to dial in the midrange frequency that best suits your instrument or playing style. Simply choose one of the five settings (220 Hz, 450 Hz, 800 Hz, 1.6 kHz or 3 kHz) and adjust the MID control to the desired level. For example, if you play in a serious metal band and really need to crank out hard bass, select either 220 or 450 Hz and boost the MID control. Need to scoop out the mids for slap-style funk, choose 800 Hz and lower the MID control. Sweepable mids make dialing in your tone incredibly easy and fast. You can also take advantage of The NUKE’s boost switches to emphasize certain dedicated frequency ranges. For instance, you can add some top-end quickly by engaging the BRIGHT (centered at 2 kHz, +6dB) or the ULTRA HIGH buttons (5 kHz, +6 dB). Feel like wielding the “hammer of the gods?” Throw the ULTRA LOW switch for a fuel- injected 50 Hz excursion to Valhalla. But The NUKE Doesn’t Stop There… Sometimes you need even finer control of your rig’s frequency response — that’s where The NUKE’s 9-band graphic EQ comes in. Imagine the frequency range of your sound as a highway, a very wide one with nine lanes. Each of these “lanes” represents a specific frequency range. The first three lanes, labeled 33-150 Hz, contain the really low frequency stuff, mainly the lower string fundamentals, or “true” pitch. The next three lanes, labeled 300-900 Hz cover the fundamental tones of the upper strings. The final three EQ lanes (2, 5 and 8 kHz) handle the bulk of the upper harmonics, and they can make or break your sound. 3,800-Watt True Bi-Amping Stereo Bass Amplifier Head with Compressor and Graphic EQ

The NUKEWe call it “The NUKE” for a good reason —

with 3,800-Watts in bridged mode and 2 x 1,950 when run in stereo or bi-amped mode, this bad boy is the most powerful bass amp in the world! But The NUKE isn’t just about power. With its staggering array of tone-sculpting options, including a 3-band EQ with sweepable mids, Ultra-High, Ultra-Low and Bright switches, and a 9-band graphic EQ — The NUKE is all about tone!

Extremely Broad Tonal ToolkitAll the power in the world won’t save you if

your tone sucks!

Feel like wielding the “hammer of the gods?” Throw the ULTRA LOW switch for a fuel-injected 50 Hz excursion to Valhalla.

But The NUKE Doesn’t Stop There…

Sometimes you need even finer control of your rig’s frequency response — that’s where The NUKE’s 9-band graphic EQ comes in.

The NUKE’s graphic EQ provides total control of the flow of audio traffic in each of these nine lanes. When properly applied, EQ makes it possible to hear all of these frequency ranges equally, thus the term equalization.

In addition to “equalizing” overall frequency response of the system, individual graphic EQ controls can also be used to artificially color sonic output by emphasizing (raising) or de-emphasizing (lowering) specific frequency bands. Put simply, you can custom-tailor the sound of your instrument by using the graphic EQ as an elaborate 9-band tone control.

Outstanding Options The NUKE is ready for both passive and

active basses, just plug in, start playing and adjust the GAIN knob until the CLIP LED barely comes on, then back it off a bit. If the LED stays lit even when the GAIN is set at zero, engage the -15 dB switch, then adjust the gain. Plug your tuner into the TUNER jack and press the MUTE button for silent tuning. There is also a second tuner jack on the back of the head for use with a rack-mount tuner, such as the BEHRINGER BTR2000.
