When to use a bubble chart?

A bubble chart displays a set of numeric values as circles. It is especially useful for data sets with dozens to hundreds of values, or with values that differ by several orders of magnitude

How bubble chart work?

A bubble chart uses area to represent numbers, it is best for positive values.

Why ???

They can legibly show data values that differ by a ratio of 100,000, and can display hundreds of individual values at once.

The following Bubble chart displays bubble sizes that correspond to the values in the third column of the sample data (Market share %).

Bubble Chart

• Number of products is displayed along the horizontal (x) axis.

• Sales amounts are displayed along the vertical (y) axis.

• Market share percentages are represented by the size of the bubbles.

Conclusion

A Bubble chart is a variation of a Scatter chart in which the data points are replaced with bubbles. A Bubble chart can be used instead of a Scatter chart if your data has three data series, each of which contains a set of values.
