British Shooting Show Logo

It is important to keep marks clear of any other graphic elements. To regulate this, an exclusion zone has been established around the logo. This exclusion zone indicates the closest any other graphic element or message can be positioned in relation of the mark. They have a fixed relationship that should never be changed in any way.

Whenever you use the logo, it should be surrounded with clear space to ensure its clear visibility and impact. No graphic elements of any kind should invade this zone. The clearspace is demonstrated in the diagram to the right.

Definition

The clear space surrounding the logo is worked out ata minimum of 20% of the logo’s width/ height. This is to surround the entire logo.

Computation

Any content invading the clear space can detract from the logo’s impact and visibility and is therefore incorrect use of the British Shooting Show logo.

Turn to page 6 and get in touch with us.Or visit our Press Resources page for a selection of pre-made British Shooting Show brand assets.

Don’t ignore the clear space

Questions

Clear space

Page 4: BSS Brand Guidelines V3 (2020)...BSS Brand The British Shooting Show marks Naming and design marks include, but are not limited to, the British Shooting Show name, logo, the term “BSS”

The mark needs to be clearly visible in all forms of media. The colours used within the logo must never be altered in any way. Drop shadow may be applied to add seperation.

The British Shooting Show logo must always be visible, in full colour and the type must be legible.

Sometimes it may be necessary to add a slight tint to the image. We suggest using a 10-20% black tint to the image to maintain visibility of the logo.

There is one exception to our full coloured logo:Some limitations when using printed media may apply, in this case, the logo would be permitted to be printed in greyscale with prior permission from the British Shooting Show.

Colour

Pairing with the logo is useful to display that you will be attending, reporting on, or are interested in the British Shooting Show.

When pairing with the logo, make sure to keep the clear space in mind, and for the height of your text not to exceed 100% of the British Shooting Show logo height.

Feel free to use a typeface that’s more suited to your brand’s design style. We recommend a bold typeface for best impact.

Please make sure you get rid of any of our old logos. These no longer represent the British Shooting Show and can confuse visitors and readers when multiple versions of the logo are seen in the media. Please ensure you only use the new British Shooting Show 2020 ‘square’ logo, and no logos dating before March 2019.

All official and current logos are available on the British Shooting Show website.

Do not use these logos in any print, press or social media to represent the British Shooting Show Brand.
