Anna Groskop and her husband, Ivor, have lived in Bruton for over thirty
years. Anna is well known in the community and worked at Bruton Surgery
for many years. Anna has been the District Councillor since 2000.Her
daughters were educated at the local Playgroup, Primary School and
Sunnyhill, and Anna is well aware of the importance of good educational
facilities and family support.
The past twelve years have seen Anna work tirelessly for local people,
helping local children attend the local school, refurbishment of the Station
and The Dovecot, promoting and assisting local business, helping re-equip
the play areas and setting-up an easy access transport system for all ages.
These are just a few of the ways Anna has helped the local community.
Anna will remain active in being aware of the issues of everyone in the
Bruton Ward. She believes that Councils should concentrate on local
services and local amenities, and spend your money wisely. As a
Conservative she believes everyone should have a choice and opportunity
within their overall responsibility to the community.
Anna pledges to:
• Work hard for the community.
• Ensure commonsense planning.
• Provide more help and investment for rural
areas.
• Insist on honest and fair local government.
• Promote local employment.

on since 2005 with the District Council,
National Trust and other agencies.
