ABOUT THE DIRECTOR ...JACQUES LA CERTE - three brilliant past directorial achievements for K.P. -TAMING OF THE SHREW, LION IN WINTER, WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIAWOOLFE - and now, STEAMBATH! A long-time K.P. member, Jacques hasbeen actively engaged in directing assignments from Sophocles to Ionesco includinga number of Broadway musicals, regional theatre, Hollywood Theatres and Shake-spearean festivals tour-de-forces.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER ...MICHELLE ROSEN, a distinguished Kentwood member for more than two decades,has proven that more than one hat can be worn at once - she now addsanother "chapeau" as producer. While appearing on our stage in PLAZA SUITE,she was rehearsing for FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. She has Masque Awards forBORN YESTERDAY, MAJORITY OF ONE, AUNTIE MAME and STREETCARNAMED DESIRE. This past year, she was seen on our stage in LAST OF THE REDHOT LOVERS. A past President of the group and Plays Committee Chairman,she even took a cameo part in FORTY CARATS. Michelle's combined talents andversatility are so vast, our program hasn't space to enumerate them - sufficeto say .....

GEORGE CAIN (2nd Young Man) attended Carmichael School of PerformingArts in Sacramento and tap danced briefly during his enrollment at Roland DupreeSchool. He appeared in Boy Friend and Funny Girl presented by the Burbank HighSchool Summer Broadway Musical in Sacramento and was seen in Overcoat for theEaglet Community Theatre. At the Lee Garland Show, he was the lead tap dancerat Sacramento's Woodlake Inn and performed dancing leads in Dames at Sea,Music Man, Bye, Bye Birdie and Cabaret.

PHILIP HALL (Gottleib) makes his bow for Kentwood in this production. Afterserving his apprenticeship at Valley Music Theatre, he later attended NorthwesternUniversity and toured nationwide for Children's Theatre (Robin Hood Players)appearing as Long John Silver in Treasure Island. His numerous stage performancesinclude Harvey, I Never Sang for My Father, Zoo Story, South Pacific, How toSucceed in Business, Carnival, Flower Drum Song.

ABOUT THE CHOREOGRAPHER ...DONNA SLATTERY - Fresh from her recent triumph, STOP THE WORLD,Donna again displays her choreographic abilities in this production. A dance "buff"from the age of 3, she choreographed the workshop presentation of SWEETCHARITY, has appeared in various dance concerts and studied drama at the LeeStrasberg Theatre Institute.

NICOLE ERICSON (Meredith) - born in Los Angeles to show business parents,she's been a working actress since age 11. She makes her initial appearance withK.P. in this production. A drama student of Lee Strasberg, Dorothy Ashcroft andNina Roch, Nicole is credited with appearances in Barefoot in the Park, ButterfliesAre Free and Vanities.

ABOUT THE CAST ••.SCOTT SHERRILL (Old Timer) is an 8-year member of Kentwood with extensiveexperience in all phases of drama. A native of Scotland, he is a graduate of theRoyal Academy of Dramatic Art and has several years of repertory company back-ground. His credits include LOOK HOMEWARD ANGEL, RASHOMON, FID-DLER ON THE ROOF, CARNIVAL, UPROAR IN THE HOUSE. Scott is alsoproficient with lights and sound, set construction and stage manager duties.

IRV ROSEN (Broker), Michelle's "better half"(?), is as capable and talented ashis lovely wife. A past President of K.P. and a 20-plus year member, he was out-standing in such production as THE PRICE, A CASE OF LIBEL, A THOUSANDCLOWNS, THE TENTH MAN and THE RED SHOES for which he receivedKentwood Masque Awards. A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE earned him the BestActor Award at the Pasadena Playhouse Los Angeles County Drama Festival. Hisother stage performances include THE ODD COUPLE, PLAZA SUITE, SENDME NO FLOWERS and DETECTIVE STORY. This year he received the K.P.masque award for Best Actor in NORMAN, IS THAT YOU?

JAMES F. KELLY (Tandy) makes his debut on our stage in this production. Aformer San Franciscan, he has studied theatre at the University of North Carolina,San Francisco State and Stella Adler. Some of his stage appearances include Cabaret,The Glass Menagerie, Barefoot in the Park, a Hatful of Rain and Butterfliesare Free.HARVEY ERLICH (Bierberrnan), a member of K.P. for 2Y2 years. Born inEngland, Harvey emigrated to Israel in 1960, appearing in Israel's only Englishtheatre. He was seen in Krapps Last Tape (workshop) as well as TWELVE ANGRYMEN, 1978's best production. He has performed with the Omni Theatre in NewYork and the Circle Theatre, Jerusalem, Israel.

TODD CHRISTIANSEN (1st Young Man), a newcomer to K.P., brings a rich,theatrical background to our group all the way from Illinois where he earned hisB.A. in theatre at Principia College. A theatre performer since the age of 7, he hasappeared in such vehicles as Romeo and Juliet, The Tempest, Twelfth Night, TheBoyfriend, Bye, Bye Birdie and Our Town. Todd also has performed at BuschGardens and Knott's Berry Farm.

ANGEL SALAZAR (Puerto Rican Attendant), a newcomer to K.P., has been inseveral Hollywood plays, one of which was Hostile Terrain. He appeared as "Joey"in The Indian Wants the Bronx at the Hyperion Theatre and last year was seenin Dogfight at the Pilot Theatre in the role of Sposito, Howard Hughes' left-handed man.

. DICK BEGA (Longshoreman) has been a member of K.P. for 14 years. Was onthe Board of Directors serving as Mailing Chairman. He first appeared on ourstage in A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, and then was a salesman in THE ROSETATOO, CARL SANDBURG and THE ODD COUPLE. His workshop creditsconsist of THE ODD COUPLE, and last year appeared in WELCOME HOME.He was also in the Los Angeles County Drama Festival in our award winningproduction of A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, in 1967.

CAROLE BRYAN (Young Girl), brand new to Kentwood, studied drama for ayear and starred in the musical, Check Your Worries, at North High School,Phoenix, Arizona. A dancer at the age of 9, she specializes in adagio, tap andmodern ballet. In the Miss Teen Age America pageant, she performed acrobaticallyas a semi-finalist and appeared in a comedy-adagio act on toe as a guest on the TalentParade Television Show.

MICHAEL COTTON (Flanders) Joined Kentwood in March of this year. This ishis second appearance on our stage. We first saw him in I NEVER SANG FOR MYFATHER. He appeared in many high school and college productions includingAuntie Marne, Our Town, Death of a Salesman.
