Becoming a Member

Whether you’re a professional, student, stay-at-

home parent or retiree, Toastmasters is the best

way to improve your communication skills.

Membership is for individuals age 18 or older.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE Filling the Toastmasters Membership

Application.

Paying New Member Fee US$ 20,00 (paid only

by new members. Covers costs of the New

Member Kit and processing).

Paying Membership Dues (all members) US$ 36

dues every six month (Pro-rated at $ 6 per

month).

How Does It Work?

A Toastmasters meeting is a learn-by-

doing workshop in which participants

hone their speaking and leadership skills

in a no-pressure atmosphere.

There is no instructor in a Toastmasters

meeting. Instead, members evaluate one

another’s presentations.

Members learn communication skills by

working in the Competent Communication

manual, a series of 10 self-paced speaking

assignments designed to instill a basic

foundation in public speaking.

Members also learn leadership skills by

taking on various meeting roles and

working in the Competent Leadership

manual.

Each project includes an evaluation

guide, which gives club members an easy

way to provide immediate feedback as

the project is completed.

SKILLS AND LEADERSHIP AT THE

SAME TIME!

Toastmasters can help you lose the fear

of public speaking and learn skills that

will help you be more successful in your

chosen path. You’ll be a better listener.

You’ll easily lead teams and conduct

meetings. You’ll comfortably give and

receive constructive evaluation. Even if you

already have some or all of these skills, you

will enhance them in Toastmasters!
