Causes

I. Archduke, Francis Ferdinand, was shot and killed along with his wife.

II. Nationalism is when people want more land, money, and power.

III. Britain France and Germany all wanted control, so they started taking land in Africa and Asia. They were rebellious.

IV. The Industrial Revolution caused mass production for new weapons and technology.

Treaty of Versailles

The treaty of Versailles made the central powers pay billions of dollars, lose land, and lose colonies.

It also started the League of Nations. It is a group of nations that worked for world peace.

• WW1 was important, because it started the league of nations and got the U.S. billions of dollars and land.
