BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Tswelapele Hotel staffing and Conference is a labour-broker close corporation. It is a partnership that focuses on the training and development of labour and then seeksto provide temporary employment opportunities as well as permanent positions.

The organization is based in South Africa and has been operating so well. In brief the following services are provided by the organization

?Supplying all classes of hospitality staff for different functions ranging from one-day function to length periods or outstanding on behalf of customer such as company in-house canteen and board room's needs.

?Search and interviewing and placing permanent hospitality staff on behalf of customers.

Some of the functions where the organization has provided staff include the following:?Isiphiwo Guest Lodge.?Burgers Park Hotel - Pretoria?The Reserve Bank - Pretoria?The Forrest Walk Function Vanue

Corporate

?Weddings, Lunches, Dinner Functions and cocktail parties.?Corporate sports event boxes, Production Lunches and Conferences.

?Weddings and birthday Parties.?Graduation ceremonies and sporting events.

Strength

Our strengths is best on the experiance on the experience of its founding members who have worked in the hospitality industry for more than 18 years before venturing out on their own. They have presently over 10 years experience in the out source industry.

We believe in the training and development of our human resources with the main objective of establishing sustainable employment opportunities.

We are a highly motivated team of people mostly from the previously disadvantaged sector of community and have set high standards aimed, n ot only to meet our customers needs butalso ensuring that our business is sustainable through repeat business and word of mouth referrals. Our ability to achieve solutions is derived through commitment, support and enthusiasm. We actively seek to reduce your stress by providing appropriate staff in all categories of hospitality.

RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION

We have intensive recruitment processes whereby applicants are subjected to go through selection process and interviews which include practical evaluation at our training centre. There is also a meticulous screening procedure background and with a proven good track record are selected.

Disciplinary proceduresDue to the nature of the business, we have to maintain cordial relationship with our customers, this means that, we have a code of conduct that all staff are required to adhere to at all times. Action is taken against any of our staff who is found to be in breach of our code of conduct.

FeesOur fees are competitive and market related. We have a price list which is sent out to our customers. However, special arrangements are made where the nature of the contract is such that the fixed prices of the company may not be appropriate in which case we are open to negotiate our rates to ensure a sustainable business relationship.

Social ResponsibilitiesTswelapele is committed to creating employment and thus contributes positively to the country's economic growth.

New developmentTswelapele is to soon open an Education, Training and Development Centre for professional food preparation and food & beverage service staff. The centre will be based within a busy function venue and will offer a real work environment for hands on training and Development.

Learners who wish to attend the programme will be interviewed to ensure that the majority plan to take the Tourism & Hospitality industry as their first career choice.

Those who show an aptitude for further study in hospitality sector will be offered a skills programme with credits that lead to a qualification registered on the National Qualification Frame (NQF).Our Training programme follows the regulations and accreditation requirements of the THETA ETQA and NQF.
