The Middle East region is very unique in culture, style, taste, The expected as well as food ingredients. In sweeteners, manufacturers focus on variety of innovative products that give satisfaction to consumers. MEFSCO “Middle East Food Solutions Company”, formerly known as ARASCO Corn Products supplying the Gulf region since 2003, was formed in 2013 as a joint venture (JV) between ARASCO (Arabian Agricultural Services Company) & Cargill. The JV builds on the Corn Starch and Glucose syrup manufacturing business arm of the ARASCO group which is located in Al Kharj, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The manufacturing facility is the singular exclusive manufacturer of such in the GCC region and consistently delivereding high quality products to customers in the Middle East region and beyond for over 12 years delivering.

Introduction

Who are we

Operating from the Al Kharj facility, 120km South of Riyadh, MEFSCO deploys world class automation and

controls managed by highly competent and vibrant professionals. To further reinforce its leadership position

in the manufacturing of high quality products, MEFSCO commenced the construction of its new ultra-modern

manufacturing facility in 2015. The facility, will be manufacturing Corn Starch, Glucose syrup and

Glucose-Fructose Syrup for customers within the Middle East market . Glucose-Fructose, the new ingredient is

a versatile sweetener used globally in the beverage, bakery and convenience sectors as the ideal replacement

of sugar in quality and efficiency. Our Manufacturing Facility is ISO 22000 certified, indicating our

commitment to high standards and food safety.

Process & Products Lines

Drying

Wet millingAfter Corn cleaning, steeping, grinding and filtering the starch is extracted and separated from the other components.

HydrolysisThe starch slurry is heated at low pH to break down the structure to small simple sugars.

PurificationAfter conversion, the pH is neutralized, the syrup is centerfuged, filtered and evaporated.
