A NOTE FROM NURSE WENTZEL
Dear Parents,This has been a particularly difficult year for head lice andmany schools in the area have been addressing this issuesince the first day of school with multiple cases. We have
recently found a few cases at Williams and ask that youcontinue to be diligent about screening your child. Sharinghats, hair brushes, bike helmets, riding helmets and car seatsis never a good idea. Unfortunately, head lice are not a newissue and the advent of increased resistance has made it aconstant problem in schools, camps and afterschoolprograms.
I am happy to address any questions you might have. TheCenters for Disease Control and Prevention has a verycomprehensive link for the treatment and recognition ofhead lice.http://www.cdc.gov/parasites/lice/head/
Thank you!
