System Overview

Blonder Tongue’s LiveCast encoder locally encodes broadcast-quality programming or

live events for transport over the public internet. Each unit is equipped with Zixi Feeder

software, which provides content-aware bandwidth optimization, error correction, and

packet loss recovery to ensure pristine broadcast video delivery of the content.

Once the dedicated content is delivered, Media or Service Providers can take the

live content and distribute it via Content Delivery Networks, Open Internet, or Private

Networks, for viewing on multi-screen devices.

This architecture allows for significant cost savings, compared to traditional methods such

as satellite, building fiber, or leasing dedicated bandwidth from third-party providers.
