Product Overview

Safety StandardBROAD completely-sealed motor valves are inaccordance with European CE certificate and theAmerican ETL certificate. In order to achievegood performance and ensure safety, this manual

must be read carefully and understood thoroughlybeforehand.

Function·Flow adjusting (PID)·Flow shutoff (completely)·Automatic shutoff upon power failure

Applicable to·Widely used for cooling, heating, watersupply and drainage, chemical engineering,

food, energy and other industries·Chilled/heating water, cooling water, domestic hot water, city water, steam, air, nitrogen, exhaust, oil and other non-corrosivemediums

·Low-corrosive mediums (e.g. beverages)·Special orders for corrosive mediums

Technical Features·The only valve in the world that ensures 100% shutoff(leakage rate for other similar products

is 1% min)·Automatic shutoff upon power failure·Low resistance, far less than similar products·High pressure bearing and light-weighted·Prices are very competitive, account for 40% of those for similar products in Europe and theUS.

Working Principles

Motor Valve

Exhaust Valve

The controller receives external 4~20 mAanalog signals and sends voltage signals toactuator to drive motor after comparison andcalculation. The meshing between transmissionnut and transmission screw changes motors’

rotation to linear reciprocating motion toactualize motor valves’regulating and on/offfunction.

Storage and Transportation·Ambient temperature: -40 ~ 70 ℃·Relative humidity: 50 ~ 90% ·Dry and well-ventilated, without seriouscorrosive gas around

·Avoid rain or other liquid dripping or splashingor direct sunshine

·Exert force on flanges or lugs only intransportation. Actuator and supporter areforbidden for rigging and force bearing.

·Dangerous operation (e.g. throwing, casting)is forbidden

·Vertically placed and fixed, and avoidaccidental vibration or impact.

Installation Mode:

uprightConnecting Mode:flange connection as follows

①Clean the flange connecting surface②Install 2-3 bolts loosing at the bottom offlange

③Insert the gasket to the connecting point (thebolts at the bottom helps locating)

④Insert all the bolts and screw them tightly asbelow

Installation Tips·Adjust the connecting pipeline beforeinstallation so that it’s naturally coaxial withvalve body’s flange to avoid stress

·Remove welding slag, gravel, fabrics and

other impurities·12~30 mesh filter at valve inlet·Space clearance for the installation andmaintenance as below

·The arrow direction on the valve body mustbe the same with medium flow in installation

·If the valve is installed in long pipeline orwith excessive vibration, supporters must beadded to avoid vibration

·A manual shut-off valve is recommended atvalve inlet. On important occasions, bypass

pipeline is to be added for manual operationif fault occurs or maintenance is needed

·Heat insulation for valve body and piping isneeded if medium temperature≥60 ℃, andsafety sticker must be used (no insulation foractuator)

·Wiring must comply with local engineeringregulations

Attention

①The valve is recommended for indoorinstallation in a dry environment without rain.If installed outdoors, please make sure theactuator is free from rain.

②Actuator is not allowed to run naked toprevent electric shock.

③No touch of motor or valve while it’s runningso that scald can be eliminated.

Signal wire 0.5~1 mm2

Internal Wiring Diagram

WiringShut off power supply, and open the cover.Wiring per wiring diagram, then put on thecover.

Attention①Power supply cable and signal wire can notbe shared, and must be from differentconduits.

②Power supply cable must be in compliancewith local standards.

③Signal wire must be shielded with reliablegrounding.

④Power supply must be cut before wiring isconnected to avoid electric shock.

⑤Keep terminals away from water duringoutdoor installation, and no work on rainydays. Put on the cover after installation, andbe sure to be free from water and moisture.

⑥Reliable grounding⑦Please check if power supply voltage is thesame as that in the nameplate before poweris on to avoid motor and power reset devicedamage.

Notice: Left diagram is forreference only, it must bestrictly connected perwiring diagram inside thevalve cover.
