ForewordHello, this is my third mini-publication anddiffers slightly from the first two, beingmore focused towards the models.

Included are four detailed models used toproduce the finished renders on the coverpage, ready to be textured and rendered toyour own liking. Aimed at intermediateSketchup users, it also includes a PDF filefrom a previous publication which goes intomore details of using floor plans and lineelevation drawings.

The four scale models include BeltonHouse and High Meadon. These two mag-nificent English Mansions are modelledfrom scanned plans taken from the bookVitruvius Britannicus by Colen Campbell,published by Dover Books. Highly recom-mended if you like modelling these splendidold buildings.

The other two models represent what I reallyenjoy, scenes from the English Dales.

Foresters Lodge and The Grain Merchants arenot representative of any particular location,rather adaptations of different images foundon the internet. Another great resource ofinspiration can be Google Maps and GoogleStreet View.

I have left a basic glass texture and wereapplicable, a plain gray texture to representany mortar joints between stones. This part ofthe texturing can be very time consuming andboring.

Feel free to modify, extend or demolish partsof the models “ learn by dessecting themodel”, it’s your world, but above all havefun whilst doing so.
