2013
"When the local community decided to take over Camelford Leisure Centre from Cornwall Council, saving money on our heating costs was one of the most important parts of our business plan to enable the new organisation to run the centre and its indoor pool in a financially viable fashion. The
loan from Pure Leapfrog and grant from the British Airways Carbon Fund provided us with a substantial part of the funding for a biomass
boiler which, with its Renewable Heat Incentives, will allow us to realise these savings. The loan will be repayable over the next few years out of the
income from the RHIs." Jonathan Holt, Company Secretary, Camelford Leisure Centre Ltd

demand we installed 6 Tesla Powerwall 2 batteries with a storage capacity of 81KWh in summer 2018.
These projects were largely funded by loans and grants, 2 of these being grants from the British Airways Carbon Fund, for which SiD remains deeply grateful. We are delighted with the outcome. In terms of energy management, we have come a long way, with

Spelthorne Gymnastics Club"Spelthorne Gymnastics occupied its new facility in Sunbury
on Thames in September 2017. The new facility was an immediate success in the local community and membership
grew steadily throughout 2017/18; it currently stands at around 1,600. The increase in usage has directly and positively enhanced the opportunity for children in the
Borough of Spelthorne to exercise on a regular basis and to take part in a structured competitive pathway if they so wish. Indirectly, participation in the structured programmes offered by the Club means that families have to follow a more healthy lifestyle otherwise their children find it difficult to progress in a sport that requires self-propelled body movement. Thanks
for helping us achieve this!"
