IN 2021, THE FINDERS KEEPERS IS BACK IRL BABY.We are so excited to be back in Brisbane with all of our you - our wonderful

stallholders. It’s been a challenging year for the creative industries and we continue

to do everything we can to get back on our feet and help you to get on yours too!

If you’ve done events with us before, we might look a little dierent to the way you

remember. Please use this guidebook to help manage your expectations and see

how we’re streamlining our entire events process in a COVID-safe era.

HOW ARE WE ADDING VALUE FOR OUR STALLHOLDERS THIS YEAR?O N L I N E B R I S B A N E TA K E - O V E R !

Part of our seller promotional strategy in 2021 is to ensure a comprehensive online

campaign follows each physical event weekend. Meaning both

thefinderskeepers.com and the Online Marketplace will be right there in Brisbane

with you, promoting ‘support local’ online sales for fans who can’t make it IRL. We

encourage you to share this with your own audiences too, as all of our marketing

and promotional eorts this year will be digital.

For the first time, we will be sharing ‘shop now’ emails to our database across the

event weekend, AND promoting online stallholder shopping through our social

channels. See more tips below on maximising your weekend sales!

We will be opening our new host venue (The Exhibition

Building) early on Sunday morning to give us some

much-needed reconnection time together! Stay tuned for

the details and we hope to see you there for a casual

cuppa and good old fashioned face-to-face catch up.

EXCITING NEW STREAMLINED ADDITIONS!

As we’re instructed to pay more attention to hand hygiene and the surfaces we all touch

on a daily basis, the Finders Keepers is eliminating cash handling in 2021. We’ll be

promoting cashless messages and telling all visitors to bring their debit, credit cards and

payment devices, as Stallholders will need to abide by no cash event rules too. Think

about sharing these messages in your own promotion of attending too!

C A S H L E S S T I P S !

We encourage you to purchase power or bring power packs for recharging your phone and

POS facilities, and to have a back-up phone, tablet or laptop for payments. If your

internet connection goes down for any reason, you can ask customers to purchase the

item online instead.

In line with becoming a cashless event, and the obligation to adhere to a new capacity, all

Finders Keepers Market IRL visitors must book and prepay to attend. Not only does this

support the elimination of cash handling it also enables us to adhere to new strict

protocols around social distancing with the ability to have allocated ticketing. Each $5

ticket is allocated a two hours time slot to shop! All visitors have the capacity to extend

this at the checkout when purchasing.

Tickets will be sold via Eventbrite and we will not be selling tickets at the door. If there is

capacity within a two-hour period, we will ask visitors who come to the door to purchase

online via their smartphone. All visitors will be given a wristband upon entry, colour-coded

for their time slot.

Due to social distancing measures, our events will not seem as ‘busy’ at peak times. With

allocated ticketing, we will be able to maximise our capacity and spread out the crowds

into allocated time slots.

In Brisbane, alongside current government guidelines, we have the opportunity to enjoy

larger visitor numbers than we have seen at previous Brisbane events in The Marquee.

HOW MIGHT WE LOOK A BIT DIFFERENT?

When working and visiting our event please be mindful that due to new restrictions we will

no longer have general seating and lounge areas available. We have had to pare back our

decor and directional signage too, to ensure our resources are adequately creating

COVID-safe environments. We will still have cafe seating near our food and beverage

vendors, however at this point in time we are unable to incorporate interactive elements

like an Instagram wall, kids area, or sponsored lounges. This will all form a part of our

simplified ‘come to shop’ messaging!

Similarly, we are unable to feature live music, and instead will be playing extra fun

FK-themed playlist throughout the weekend to keep the good shopping vibes going.

There will be COVID-safe informational signage as well as hand sanitising stations around

the venue in accordance with health departments. There will also be multiple information

hubs throughout the venue for both stallholders and visitors.

To make the most out of new social distance restrictions we have strategically extended

hours to maximise the number of time slots for visitors. Friday will open at 3pm (instead of

5pm as was planned in 2020) until 9:30pm, and Saturday until 7pm. Please note we are

opening at 12pm on Sunday in respect of ANZAC Day, and are inviting stallholders to join

us for casual networking (more information on this soon).

The 2021 Brisbane event hours:

○ Friday 23 April: 3pm - 9.30pm

○ Saturday 24 April: 10am - 7pm

○ Sunday 25 April (ANZAC Day): 12pm - 5pm

As part of our COVIDsafe plan, the Finders Keepers are no longer able to provide

communal change rooms. If you have the ability to practice COVIDsafe measures in your

stall you are still able to erect one single changeroom within your stall space. Remind your

customers before you arrive and don’t forget to pack a mirror!

○ Encourage potential customers to

check out your range online before

getting to the event, or even

pre-purchase the item to ensure you

don’t sell out! They will still be

required to pre-purchase an event

ticket online to pick up.

○ Are you a fashion stallholder?

Encourage visitors to pre-book a

bespoke fitting session with you so

they can come at an allocated time

to try on your garments.

○ Tell your audience that it will be a

cashless and pre-paid event so they

can come prepared too!

each stall space will be limited to 1

person every 2 square metres (ie. a 2x2m

have 4), and all sta and helpers are

required to register daily. Due to social

distancing measures, The Finders

Keepers are unable to provide support

Part of being able to host events

in 2021 is having a mammoth

COVIDsafe plan approved by

health authorities and certain

strategies in place including but

not limited to a variety of actions

for our community as well as our

Sellers. These are the key points

we are obliged to promote

throughout the event.
