T o d a y

Today we are celebrating Pentecost in conjunction with Pastor Rosie’s Installation and Licensing. As we reflect on God sending the Holy Spirit on Jesus’ disciples (Acts 2), we will also see that God’s Spirit continues to be alive and well in our world today! We extend a special welcome to Clarence Rempel, WDC conference pastor, who is worshipping with us today.

We are so glad you are here with us to worship God and experience God’s love. This morning you were greeted by Gary, Angie, Olivia and Zach Duerksen and Paul and Norma Graber. A special welcome is extended to all visitors.

Childcare is provided in the nursery during the worship service.

On the table in the foyer are Prayer Request Cards. You are invited to fill one out if you have a request and return it to a pastor’s box.

The following requests were shared on May 26.

Sheri Schmidt asked that we remember the Jr. High at Camp WaShunGa this weekend and also shared a praise that Tabor’s 8th graders had received citizenship awards. She attributed this in part to the support of a caring church community.

Remember to pray for:

Vacation Bible School this week: pray that the students will have a good learning experience as well as fun and that the teachers and leaders will be empowered to guide and teach.

Western District Conference: Pray for Rosie Jantz who will be licensed towards ordination at Tabor Mennonite Church today. She will be serving as an Associate Pastor focusing on Education and Pastoral Care.

Mennonite Mission Network: Mary Raber of MMN is dividing her time this year between classroom teaching in Ukraine and working from the United States while she cares for her parents. Pray for her as she finishes a three-month course at Odessa Theological Seminary and prepares to spend June through August in the United States.

Mennonite Education Agency: Pray for Mark Thiessen Nation as he teaches the course, "Biblical Foundations of Justice and Peacebuilding," for Eastern Mennonite Seminary and Eastern Mennonite University's Summer Peacebuilding Institute.

Remember to praise God:

Rosie Jantz and Shelley Buller and their willingness to share their gifts us as Associate Pastor and Deacon, respectively.

the good weekend that the Jr. Highers and Phil experienced at Camp WaShunGa.
