May/June 2014
Infant News During the last two months, we engaged on numerous outdoor walks. The weather was
perfect for enjoying outside adventures in our buggies. We did a "Donuts for Dads" bash in order to show our appreciation for all of our
wonderful fathers. We know how hard they work and we know how much our their faces light up when the word "Da Da" is mentioned! Summer is fast approaching and we will continue going
outside as long as the weather stays cool enough. Please continue to send in hats, sunscreen and
proper clothing.
Toddler I News Our toddlers are growing fast and as a class we are on the move. During the months of May and June we practiced utilizing sign language to communicate with all of our friends. We love signing to express our feelings. Miss Jennifer helped us paint and create, while Miss Monique took us on multiple adventures both outside and in the gym. Miss Tamisha continued teaching us our letters, numbers and nursery rhymes! We all marched around and used our musical instruments to move to the beat. We played interactive games in the Hatch room, using the Smartboard. We loved our first Splash Day and most of us had butterflies painted on us during face painting!

Toddler II News During May and June, Toddler II had a blast while continuing to learn and retain new information. We have all been doing a great job spelling our names, both communicatively and by signing. For those of us who aren't quite there just yet, we continue to practice each and every day. We had a great time at Storybook Land. For many of us, it was our first time riding on the bus! We got to ride the rides, feed the animals and spend time with our best buddies. We have read so many wonderful books during the last two months, however our favorite book continues to be, Dinosaurs Love Underpants by Claire Friedman.
It's perfect because most of us are entering the wonderful world of underpants for the first time. If given the opportunity, read this book! It will make you laugh just like us. Miss Kaitlin & Miss Ashley

Pre-School News: Hola! Jambo! Konichiwa! This month we took a trip around the world and visited South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. We studied their cultures and created art work with interesting designs and materials! We finished our alphabet and reviewed our letters with flash cards, tracing and games. We studied insects by counting their legs, and we discovered how a caterpillar turns into a butterfly! We celebrated Memorial Day by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and counting the stars and stripes on The American Flag. We also learned about the colors of the rainbow and we expressed our creativity by doing rainbow art! We signed our pleases and thank you.

Pre-K News
Pre-‐K had a blast learning about Bugs, Dinosaurs and Farms in May! We made our own butter as part of our Farm Unit. We ate it with crackers! It was D-‐E-‐L-‐I-‐C-‐I-‐O-‐U-‐S. We wrote in our journals about what would happen if we had a dinosaur in our class and about farmers' jobs. We were very excited to grow our own veggies! We learned new vocabulary words such as sprout and seedling. Some of us ard having a hard time saying the words because some of us are losing teeth for the first time. We did a great job during graduation because we practiced so much on our songs! Our favorite song was from Peter Pan and explained how we felt about moving out of Pre-‐K, "We Won't Grow Up." We learned so much, made a ton of friends and established relationships that will be remembered for a lifetime! Miss Phyllis & Miss Katie

Kindergarten News As the school year comes to an end, we did so many exciting and memorable things. We had an adventure at the Camden Aquarium where we saw the sharks, and felt the exterior of a stingray. We loved doing our water balloon experiment where we learned the word "hypothesis" and tested a theory. We figured out that a balloon Does Not always pop when it hits something. Our graduation was wonderful! We sang our songs beautifully and held our heads high during the signing of the Pledge of Allegiance.
