While you’re on campus be sure to check out:

The Ainsworth/Scott Gymnasium (G4) complex houses the Dorothy Dalton swimming pool, rock climbing wall, five squash courts, a dance studio, a weight training room and The Olin Fitness Center.

The Indoor Track & Tennis Facility (H4) houses four tennis courts, a 200-meter track, and equipment for field events. Just down the road from the gym is the indoor/outdoor riding complex. Take the footbridge across from the gymnasia complex to view twenty acres of playing fields, an eight-lane 400-meter “Cal-Track,” and twelve lighted tennis courts.

The Botanic Garden of Smith College (D5) is comprised of the Lyman Plant House, several herbaceous gardens, a rock garden, and the arboretum. This collection of some 5,000 kinds of plants functions as a teaching tool and as an aesthetic element on the campus.

The Brown Fine Arts Center (E8) includes the Smith College Museum of Art which contains objects ranging from the 25th century B.C. to the present, with particular emphasis on 19th and 20th century European and American art. The collection is considered one of the best among college museums.

The Campus Center (C6), houses the mailroom, bookstore, café and student activities offices. The bookstore is open today from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 pm. ____________________________________________________________________________________
